…i never understood guys with intention to rape. i mean don’t you need to know the person to even have those type of intentions? How can these guys just do it with complete strangers? total yuck. As a woman I simply cannot understand their logic - not even for one single bit.

And I dont understand why they cannot go to those women i.e. prostitutes when they want it. Those women will do it happily as they have opted it as their job.

I'm not trying to justify rape in any way, Masti. It's a horrendous crime. And it's not like everything ends when the act of rape itself comes to an end. The victim has to deal with the psychological and emotional scars and trauma for years afterward. This not only impacts the victim but the relationships formed with other people.
As far as how one can have sex with a complete stranger.................well, doesn't it happen all the time???????? You hear of complete strangers who meet at clubs and have known each other for only half an hour.....possibly less.......and then have a one night stand. They're not friends........they're mere acquaintances.......like strangers. It happens often. But at least in this scenario.......mutual consent for sex is involved.
Why do some men rape? Well............if it does not involve a mind clouded by alcohol or drugs........................then the individual is psyhcologically disturbed. Perhaps he has a fear.........or hatred for women. Maybe his upbrining was dysfunctional.........and included unhealthy relationships or attitudes toward female figures in his life (mother, sister, aunts, etc). Maybe his hatred or fear of women......manifests itself in a desire to control or harm what they're so afraid of.
Again, I'm not trying to justify rape. And I don't think there are sufficient enough words to explain how despicable of an act it is. This may sound odd......but simply murdering someone (although it a gunnah)........in some ways is better than rape. Because a rape victim is stripped of their dignity....violated..........and they relive that trauma over and over.......it's like mentally dying many deaths. For those victims who have overcome the trauma........and who have become stronger from the experience.......it's quite a feat.

oh I understand the nightclub strangers! I mean they BOTH are there for the same thing… or even if they are not there with that intention but things happens - then that’s a different thing. There is NO force. As you said it - it’s mutual consent! That’s not rape.

yes i read that story and its unacceptable and i think before punishing the 5 gusy (i really mean capital punishment here no shame to say that) their mind should be examined and they should be subjected to profound phychological research to find out what motivated them to do this inhumane and hideous crime, so that next time this can be prevented.

well there was a story in the papers many years ago, about 8 or 9 yrs back. this hindi guy went to one their festivals, and got drunk. he had his college bag or something with him, and he grabbed the nearest ( or something) girl put the bag over her head, and raped her..it was at night somewhere dark, i cant rem. anyway when he took the bag off her face, OR i think when the lights came on, he sawher face and it was none other than his own sister......he commited suicide after.
