i like to talk things out no matter how heated the discussion , it at least clears things up rather than letting them fester within u and creating misunderstandings ............

Yeah true.. plus sometimes if you're on a bit of a downer.. and someone is ready to listen to you then it makes it feel like you have someone at least. It can help cheer you up.. well at least in my case it can..

Cheering up comes from the realization that getting worried about the issue 24/7 is not going to resolve it ..
Cheering up is not a solution of that issue, its a temporary, postive distraction, that is often required so one can get back to the issue with fresh mind.
Keeping these two things in mind and depending upon the person you need to cheer up and the gravity of the situation, one can figure out a way to cheer one up.
