Your argument is facetious. Pakistan has no more than 3% non-muslims. in 1947, Karachi had a vibrant non-muslim popluation. Today:

Karachi has a very little non-muslim population. 2.35% Christians, 0.83% Hindus and 0.3% others (Parsis and Buddhists).

You link, is one from some local Karachiite jouranlist, or atleast thats what I assume, and the source is Wikpedia..
Besides the fact that no credible person would ever cite Wikepedia, considering anyone can pretty much post whatever they want, the article still doesnt proove anything.. Your going to have explain how this supports your argument.
Your second source isnt anything new, I already know there is discrimination in Pakistan, thanks for the confirmation..
Here is what you need to provide to convince me…

  1. The population of WEST Pakistan after partition… Population of Muslims and non Muslims… (This has to be JUST West Pakistan because East Pakistan had a larger Hindu population.

  2. We all know that even after partition, people were slowly migrating across the border, Advani didnt move to India until well after partition for example.
    So percentage of the minority population of West Pakistan migrated to India post Partition and why…

  3. Who were the people who stayed and why did they stay? Were they poor and couldnt afford to travel or were they secure enough to not have to move?

  4. What was the population growth rate of Muslims of West Pakistan over the past 50-60 years, and what was the population growth of minorites?
    If the minority percentage per the population has decreased, then you have explain how much of this is due to migration, and how much is due to genuine demographic changes due to population growth of Muslims in comparison to Hindus.. Your example of Karachi, is a perfect example of this… The huge rise of outsiders in the city chnaged the demographics so that Sindhis are a minority now. In fact demographics of Karachi have been changing constantly over the past fifty years.

If you cant provide some real statistics, then your accusations are all just conjecture… You have no evidence and neither do any Indians who would accuse Pakistan.
Im not going to believe anything YOU say because you think your an expert on this issue, your gonna have to support your accusations with REAL evidence.

Their is mistreatment of minorites, but definently not to the scale Indians would accuse us off. There are millions of minorities living relatively peaceful lives... The Indians would portray Pakistanis as a naton of rabid hate mongering animals without even a rudimentry understanding of Pakistani society.

Abuse is hurled at people who deserve it… So welcome to forum. Your welcome to take the moral high ground though.
If you had read my other post, you would have understood that WIKIPEDIA is not a valid source… Wikpedia is for people like you, who have a point the want to express and thus write up whatever they want and post it online… People cite Wikepedia most readily because they can find just about anything to support their arguments.
Still lets accept Wikepedia because without it, you have nothing left.
Your figures are also wrong… The fact is that no one really know the true census of the Hindu and other minority population post Partition. Bangladesh had a much higher Hindu population then and even now which is 15 percent of the total poupualtion… Your 23 percent is much to high for West Pakistan, and I have read sources that said it was about 15 percent at max PRE partition.
I would like a VALID census of the Pakistani minority population from that time, barring that its all conjecture.
As for your second post, I have already said that Hindus and other minorites are discriminated against, and it rather unfortunate and one should hope he situation improves…
But then, all of us have met SUCCESFUL and prosperous member of the minority aswell, and they arent the ones you have heard about either.
I know many Ahmedis who are very succesful in Pakistan, and many who are very patriotic… There are also many well of Christians, Parsis and others.
The report also says that many of the cases are reported in interior Sindh and they reflect a greater problem within the society in regards to Women etc. And as someone has mentioned, many of these incidences are reported in the rural areas, the urban centers are far better of.

How do you know that the decrease in the percentage of Hindus relative to the overall population of Muslims is due solely to discrimination?
You dont even know what the original population of Hindus was at partition, so how can you claim that they have decreased by such a substantial amount...
