but media turn these incidences into communally motivated incidences....
i know lot of muslims are also dying in pakistan at the hands of terrorists ....
in india we had meeruth riots,1992 riots and then gujrat riots....there are lot of riots on small scales those do not gain media publicity..
though south india is very peaceful except few parts of karnataka....
Although, in Pakistan there is a particular class (feudal or whatever) that exploit all the people irrespective of their religion, we don't see riots like Meeruth or Gujrat in Pakistan on the name of religion. We are more prone to sectarian conflicts (like Sunni/Shai, Qadyani / Non Qadyani), etc.
killing an innocent person is not allowed in islam....
and muslim must respect rights of minorities in all conditions......
okey where is feudal mentality is strongest in pakistan.....?
sindh have waderas, baluch have sardars what is name for punjabi and pakhtun feudal lords....

Feudal mentality is not limited to a particular area.. It can be found anywhere, in cities, in town and small villages. In villages its called Wadera, Sardar, Khan (KPK), Malik, Chohdri (Punjab) and in cities there are industrialist to exploit people.
Back to the topic, what do you think is there anything in Islam that restrict us from sharing food from the same plate with other communities? As far as I know, there is nothing like that in Islam. Quran only forbids not having food on which name of Ghairullah (name other than Allah) was taken and it may include Parsaad. Other than this, I'm not aware of anything that has been forbidden by Islam.
If we look back at the treatment given to mushriks of Makkah by Muhammad:saw2:
we will see that we must treat everyone with love and respect…those preachers who were sent to different non muslim kingdom must be dinning with those kings so there is nothing wrong in eating with non muslims…
Ninja nice point about Muslim ambassadors visiting non-Muslim people. I'm sure, this practice is also not in accordance with the teachings of Hindu religion.
Instead of kings if we look to the treatment of sufis by hindus we will know that hindus respected these sufis...Even listened to their preaching i have hindu friends who organize festivities in respect of Hazrat Farid ganj shakkar rehmtullah Aleh...

boredman, i spent most of my summers as a kid in my mom's native village in malappuram with my grandma. the place is like 80% muslim families, and everyone from our milkman to neighbours were muslims.
ninja, mammooty has fans everywhere man. but he is originally from north kerala/malabar (like me ;) ), we have the cooler dialect, and livelier personalities.
Iftikar was an actor who mostly did a policeman's role in the 60s-early 80s. Only in Deewar he was a smuggler - but a good smuggler, who did not throw coins at shoe shine boys.
He was also know to celebrate chutki waali holi. History lesson over for today. Guru dakshina is accepted at the hundi.
What is the situation at tombs of saints (like Ajmer Sharif, Nizam u din auliya, Delhi) which are revered by both the communities? Are there different water tapes for different religions?
