Re: Hindu boy converts to Islam in Pakistan

I am just stating what I feel is a probable outcome. If a conversion of. Muslim to Hinduism is shown on Pak TV chances are his or her life along with those of the organizers may be in danger. I would like your opinion on if I am way off base here. I do respect your opinion - and would like to hear it. Thanks.

Re: Hindu boy converts to Islam in Pakistan

Its a sad reality of Islamzation of the country. Pakistan will never progress until religion and politics are separated, mullahs are put on a tight leash & jihadi factories are closed for good.

Re: Hindu boy converts to Islam in Pakistan

when you say religion and politics are separated do you mean if there is a divine ruling on some matter available, we should simply discard it and make one of our own according to our own whims and desires or better yet use the age old farangi taazeerat-e-Hind?

Re: Hindu boy converts to Islam in Pakistan

LOL. Going off on tangents. You don’t disappoint.

This will be my only response to the great diwana as I have no desire to debate with the master. Better people have tried and failed.

I would rather that people followed islam but that’s neither here nor there. The whole point of the discussion, which you missed as usual, was that minorities are treated bad in Pakistan and this sort of thing is unbecoming of the majority when the minorities feel threatened already.

Maya is a hypocrite because her antics don’t sync with her words. She is allowed to dance on live TV and at the same time take her danda to the park? What do you call hypocrisy, O’ great diwana?

By muslims in Pakistani context I mean the government certified muslims :rotfl: because you know the Pakistani government certifies whether you are a muslim or not. And I’d appreciate if you don’t make this an ahmadi vs certified muslim thing.

QFT!

Re: Hindu boy converts to Islam in Pakistan

I mean't region should not be part of equation in governance of the nation & no religious group should be given preferential treatment b/c of their religious beliefs. In other words, treat everyone equal in eyes of law & take religion out when making policy decisions.

Re: Hindu boy converts to Islam in Pakistan

In Pakistan's case, yes people need to tone down their religiousity, at least the outward display of it, in order for the society to improve.

Isn't it strage that the more religious these guys get, the more violent they become? Yazdi is bang on. The public display of religion is driving Pakistani society crazy. Religion needs to become a personal matter.

Re: Hindu boy converts to Islam in Pakistan

Besides being something personal, religion should also never get too political.

That's one issue that muslim countries will always struggle with IMO. the religion itself is quite political. The focus should be on personal spirituality vs political or society control. The whole notion of an all encompassing holy book and stringent rule set that is supposed to govern every aspect is no good as it results in rigidity and failure to adapt.
