i got everything made and done in toronto. The salelady where i got my lengha from is also a seamstress, so she made me the turtleneck top.
Ive seen a lot of hijabis that just wear big necklaces that cover their "galla", but their neck is still exposed.
if a turtleneck shirt is too thick for you, maybe u can check sport shops for diving/scuba tops. I remember a girl telling me thats what she did wore under her prom dress...it looked great because the material was someone shiny and a cotton type material that would look odd on a fancy suit. (its like when you see little girls wearing turtlenecks under their shalwar kameez because its too cold..lol...)
Wow you are such a bright person! Lol, i had never thought of that, i will def have that turtle neck made. Makes it so much easier to just say make it like a sari blouse! My sleeves are being made long so thats taken care of! :) if nothing does work out I will certainly ckh out the sports shop and go with that idea! Thanks so much!
One more thing - if you dont mind, could you possibly take pics of that turtleneck blouse of yours so I can have an idea of how exactly i should explain it. Im not sure if you will mind, but if you dont, then can i get a pic of the front and the back? I would really REALLY appreciate it! Thanks!!
but tell the tailor to make it like a sari blouse - nice and fitted - and sleeveless. Also tell him make it a high-neck gaala with hooks or tich buttons from the back. Or if you got string or a shoe lace type zip zag thing going at the back, that woudl be hot ;) lol.
^hey mahismart- can you modify or crop the first pic? I don't know her but obviously the girl is a hijabi and I'm sure she couldn't foresee that the particular camera angle would be a little revealing or that it would be in a public forum like this.
