Well just wanted to share this information that kamran akmal is the highest run scorer for pak in all the formats …
Now the fact is that he bats at 5 6 in both formats except T20 sometimes…
so it means how weak is our middle order and of course our opening

He is a very decent keeper now than before, this is when you reap the fruits of patience, not destroy the crop. He is fine in this role - atleast one area where Pakistan should not experiment at the present time. He can continue to open in ODIs and T20 as well. Atleast he mostly gets Pakistan to a good start in those formats. Plus he can play on seaming wickets as well as he is showing.

His keeping has been pretty decent for last couple of years. Besides he is a wicket keeper first not a specialist batsman or opener. But for now he is doing the job. We need to find specialist openers and middle-order batsmen.

he had a rough patch as a keeper a couple of years back (around 2006-2007) I think, but for the last little while, he's been a pretty good keeper. I don't think there's any need to relieve him of that role at all.

Yup, he has improved a lot in the recent years...,, I remember that Moin Khan used to be the worst of lot, if stats are gathered properly, Waqar and Wasim might have taken 40+ wickets through the catches he has dropped.

Well he had a horrible tour of SAF where bechara Asi bowled out his heart only to khatmal drop something like 5-6 catches in one match which Pakistan lost and the series ..... Something that hurt Late Bob woolmer quite a bit as he mentioned later
But since has been on the up and improved a lot
I just hope he can cope with the bounce in Aussie
