err i think my generation is to blame. we started young. MUCH young. and like someone else said...it also depends a lot on the type of school you go to. i went to those schools where the elite's daughters went to. i studied with politician's daughters, with surgeons and business men's daughters. and i won't be surprised if today some of those girls went out to be promiscous little...umm things. but at the same time...i know that those few that i was real good friends with won't be.
true..it's so sad..you see people going out to parties and stuff everynight...and then you see kids begging on the streets..doesnt make sense..the line between the rich and poor is getting worse..all i can say is..parents are doing this to their children..like..i've been here since i was like 6..and my parents are still so strict..i'm not how u say fully "americanized" but when i went to pak..they were so shocked at how i wasnt so "modern" like them...
LOL...the funny thing is, they're not so modern. They're this era's feudal lords...princes and princesses. They have no clue what Western culture is all about, other than what they see on TV (sex and violence). They take the most wretched aspects of Western culture as their own, but when it comes to the good stuff (self respect, personal responsibility, entrepreneurship, and so on), they are complete flunkies.
Getting laid! Its so common here in this country! One of my freinds from the NWFP once told me that if they see any boy with a girl doing some hanky-panky they will kill both of them. But if they see some boy doing with a boy - they will just igore it! And this is not new in this country.
its only in Mummy Dady cultures schools..having fees about 4000 rs per month...and situated in posh areas....but not so high ratio...but still increasing...mainly due to cable connections in almost every house.....and late night x rated films....and internet cafes and clubs....no censor by government....
When we have already planted the trees of Enlightened Moderation and Roshan Khayali ...than whats the hesitation in eating its fruits ..!!!!!!
But in governemnt universiries like Punjab university etc..... more than 90 %girls take burqa r hijaab..in recent years ..it was anbout 50 % or 40 % you say....

There are not many schools in Pakistan.
Most of the schools are segregated.
Schools where kids can afford to party and get laid belong in high society areas.
Even in those schools, this behavior is rare.
Getting laid is a far fetch. I think 'bad behavior' in highschool kids can be attributed to smoking, pan habbits and skipping classes for other activities

parents r responsible....in Surah Tuba it is stated over n over again "we will judge ppl from lives, wealth and children"......look at the parents....corrupt ppl> make black money> wat else they will get> As u sow so shall u reap (i wonder Y WE READ THOSE CHILD HOOD STORY, or FAIRY TALES?....arghhh seemz like wasted)

I remember back in 1996, I was in Lahore celebrating New Year's with my cousins.
We all went out to hang out and stuff and these maulvis on Pajero Jeeps with Hockey Sticks came out and smashed all the windshields and punctured the tires of all the cars parked there.

come on! what world are you living in? these days a burqa or a hijab is no guarantee that the girl under it is a virginal good girl.

yup...the same thing that they do back there. only diff is that we notice this stuff here...and turn a blind eye towards it there...or just hush hush it up.
