People make it different ways which affects the taste, texture and flavour.
You have kiwaami sevaiyn which is sweeter and more sticky, sevaiy'on ka zarda (I think that's drier and hails from Punjab - though I could be wrong), some people even call it sewaiyon ka halwa.
I personally love to eat kiwaami sewaiyn with khatta yogurt - omg, is it divine!

You all are making this more complicated for me lol We make it two ways plain vermicelli with sugar in a little oil and the other way is with milk, sugar and nuts etc.

i used to say say-wiyan but then the most common pronunciation I have heard is sawa-yyan !

I think right pronunciation is Se-vay-yaan (two y's). There is no H shound or M sound in it.

OH MY GOD. There’s something else we eat in Ramzan, putting it in milk but I forgot the name of it.. Kind of like puff pastry when cooked but thicker an crunchier. Unless it’s the same thing. I don’t even know.
