I really do not understand the context here. The interviewer asked a stupid question and got the answer it deserved. If people are so badly wanting to leave, let them leave. Nothing can stop them.
Rather i would say his answer was good enough. For that matter remember Mushy. He said people fake rapes to leave the country. Is'nt this answer better than his.
There are no dumb questions....only dumb answers.
Her question was referring to the bad state of economy and enormous rise in corruption which makes people want to leave the country in large numbers. His answer, though it was meant as defensive, came across as stupid. He could have simply referred to the validity of these 1000 people gallup polls which have no impact on reality, as we are a nation of 160 million plus...views of 1000 random people dont reflect the mindset of 160 mil.....but he decided to pretend to be a smart ass....Well, he is not smart, thats for sure.
jiyalay aakhir jiyalay hayn sab hi maan jaayen gai, kal agar PM bolay gaa "poory qom be-ghairat hay, poory qom 'corrupt' hay" saary jiyalay dum hilaatay howay bolayn gai "sach hi to bola hay".
Well said bro, spot on!!!
No doubt people have right to support whoever they support but how on earth can you be so blind that you can't see obvious things? So what if he belongs to the party you support, just admit that he made a statement that you would expect from a paan wala or naayi sitting in hamam.
Bhutto would surely be proud of Gilani and Zardari right?
Great justification So every kid born in the country must one day leave for the Mideast and the West so that he could earn foreign exchange and run his country?
As more and more families leave the country, pretty sure the source of foreign exchange you are talking about will dry up. Most expatiates who are single (with family or parents back in Pakistan) send in the foreign exchange, but once most of them get their nationality or get a chance to call their loved ones, their link with their home country will gradually decrease up to the point that their future generations will not even remember Pakistan.
There are many examples where the 2nd or 3rd generation once settled in any other country (particularly the Western ones) just cut off their tie with Pakistan. Sure they have an extended family or distant relatives, but they aren’t reason enough for them to send in foreign exchange or even visit Pakistan. It’s a very thin line that gets crossed one way or another.
Nobody in Pakistan is talking about this. Just a bunch of kids on the Internet. A silly non-issue. Bring up real issues -and there are plenty.
Govt is talking about real issues? oh yeah right, president highness has called up a meeting regarding load-shedding. Way to address it. Energy conference last month paid real dividends, didnt it? The problem is they are only TALKING! and loads of bull crap to add their talking.

Good, talk about the energy issue, and the govt failure in that area.
Not a silly interview that nobody in the 'real world' cares about.
The democracy vs dictatorship wasn't even a brain fart, but more like telling "us" that this is the "cost" of doing democracy. He clearly can't articulate his thoughts, but PPP installed him for their own purposes which have nothing to do with the well being of Pakistan.

See when TALKING about energy issues and negligence does not help anyone, these so called silly issues hurt the nation more.
Brother, I have feeling that you made typing error. What did you wanted to write?
He didn’t really say that, did he? … or … she didn’t really say that, did she?
I am not surprised what Gillani said, as that is expected from him and from all those parasites who rule Pakistan.
What surprises me is what the women said, that is 1/3 Pakistanis would like to leave Pakistan.
Did she really say that?
It seems she is ignorant of Pakistan and Pakistani people. If she had known, she would not have said 1/3 but had said ‘Almost all’ or ‘Almost each and every Pakistani’.
Fact is that, almost all Pakistanis (including corrupts) want to leave Pakistan. Only reason Pakistan has such a big population because other countries try to keep their borders safe from Pakistanis. Actually, all Pakistanis would like to leave Pakistan if they can get visa, not only to western world, but even if they get visa of Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Korea, Middle-east, North Africa, South Africa, Kenya, South America, Central American, Central Asia, or even to India, Sri-Lanka and Bangladesh (especially after their recent economical successes).

It is not a question of jiayala or any other stupid argument you put forthwith when ever I write in response to stupid anit-PPP posts. Read as follows and understand what I am saying.
I didn't really think you would pay second visit to your thought process or response to Gillani's stupidity, after-all he is leader of PPP ;)
