How did you do it ?
I used to just move away or tell elders when I was a kid.
When I started to work at work in the beginning I would just resign and look for another job , then I learned the tricks of the trade . Those bullies soft spots or leave a trail of misgiving which you can use as a proof against them. So did I.
Re: Have you ever confronted a bully in real life ?

Re: Have you ever confronted a bully in real life ?

All your life ? You are lucky , I am guessing , everyone gets bullied once in their lives.
My daughter was telling me how a boy in her class was bullying her but she did not want me to intervene , she did not want to complain to teacher either. She said she is just ignoring him as it as verbal bullying . Eventually this kid gave up and is nice to her.

What is considered verbal bullying? Like swearing and stuff?

I would like to hear those stories too.

Not swearing but picking on her. I am proud of her ,she coped with it by the book. They are told to ignore verbal bullies who are picking on you for no reason.
Re: Have you ever confronted a bully in real life ?
Well kid can’t see certain things, so bullies didn’t know me. I didn’t know my self.
Like when you are raised with sheep you become a sheep.
I was bullied too, like with talking and comments.
But every time a bully got physical with me
I kicked a@$ thoroughly.
Even boys 4-5 years older them me..
Re: Have you ever confronted a bully in real life ?
I was bullied all the way up to college. I never really stood up to the bullies or challenged them; wish I had the guts to back then!!
Re: Have you ever confronted a bully in real life ?
I was bullied until the middle of high school..then I became really involved in school activities (student council, sports teams) and became well known and I found a good circle of friends to surround myself with and then was never faced with the problem again.
There is another girl who is a family friend of mine that projects herself to be such a masoom, innocent, sweet girl in front of all the parents, but behind closed doors she is the biggest b*tch I ever met. She was very pushy, forceful, and would always say something to make me feel bad about myself. She caused me soooooo much grief in high school. I stopped talking to her and thankfully our families started crossing paths less and less.
Turns out, 7 years after high school, she is still struggling to finish up her undergrad degree, and I know for a fact that she has had DOZENS of rishtas come visit her home, only to reject her (she claims that SHE rejects THEM, but I know that not to be a lie). She still acts like a total b*tch though, so everytime I come across her at weddings and dawats I give her a taste of her own medicine (not the moral high ground, I know). "Oh, you STILL haven't finished your undergrad?! Most people can finish one in four years!! Any good rishta's yet? No? That's too bad." Sighhhh I know that's a b*tch move on my part, but karma is awesome.

perhaps someday.
I hate thinking about those days of having to fight back in one way or another..... sometimes I wonder the kind of person I might have been if I didn't have to face those times.
Re: Have you ever confronted a bully in real life ?
Never bullied but I did have a falling out w/ my close friends in middle school which was a bad time until they apologized and it was resolved. I’ve always had a large group of friends and always made friends real quick. Also, I always had the ability to stand up for myself or put them in their place which is why no one said anything to me. Plus, I always stand up for people who are getting bullied.
However, I was quite mean to one girl in elementary school (not proud of this, and we did become friends later on), and made 2 girls leave the school permanently (I got one expelled and the other just left and never came back the next day
) and transfer to another school after they tried to sabotage my my life at school. Serves them right, me thinks. But yes, no one can say anything to me and I like that people stay in their perspective lanes, thankyouverymuch.
Re: Have you ever confronted a bully in real life ?
I used to get bullied by a girl when I was 9
Re: Have you ever confronted a bully in real life ?
:shudders:
Re: Have you ever confronted a bully in real life ?
LOL^
I wasn’t a bully nor did I get bullied, but my point was I can defend myself in those situations (and when I say defend, I don’t mean physically because a) it has never gotten there and b) that is so not my style. Like hitting or cat fighting? Yuck
). In fact, I defend anyone getting bullied. I’ve stopped being friends w/ people if I ever saw them bullying someone. Not a cool thing in my book.
Re: Have you ever confronted a bully in real life ?
I was never around in school for anybody to bully me. If not in class, I would either be found in the library, computer lab, or home in my bed. :D Kids around me never knew who I was. I never even used the lockers assgined to me. That's how absent I was. :D
