it does mate , whatz the point Importing meat from other countries to fulfil our daily meat quota . As a poor nation , Pakistani should eat less meat .

I dont have a scale so Mostar (or anyone else) could you please tell us how much is 250 gms of daal in cups? I would like to make this today.

i think 250 grams is almost equal to 1 cup of daal...or just slightly more...

i made it today.....turned out great...however i did add some crushed garlic to the daal while cooking it. i'm sure it would have been good even w/o it...i just like some daals with a garlic taste to it.....thanks for the recipe...it's a keeper!

Really! Did you find green mash? Where do you live? Becasue green mash is only available in India and the middle east and in Pakistan only in Karachi.

Mostar....can I please substitute the green urad with regular urad maash dal??? :( Is the taste going to change significantly if I do? btw, thanks for posting the recipe. I LOVE dals and I LOVE spinach!!! :)

I think you are confusing it with moong with chilka (that is green in colour). Urud or Mash comes in both colours chilka - black and green. While black is easily available all over, the green one is rarely found.

Moong and mash have different taste. It is better to cook mash with spinach and moong with qulfa.

Yes it is. But the one with chilka either black or green is even more tastier with palak.
