Haray Mash ki daal saag ? daal and saag both ? i neva had anything like that in me life !
Re: Haray mash ki daal saag
Here you go:
250 grams of green mash (or if you can not find, you can take black mash)
400 grams paalak (spinach)
Green rocket chillies - 6
Whole red chillies - 6-8
Zeera - 1 tablespoon
Oil for frying.
Garlic cloves - 6
Soak the daal in cold water for 2 hours after properly washing.
Then boil it with paalak (finely cut) and pierced green rocket chillies. If you like you can also add 1 teaspoon ground garam masala. Add salt to taste.
When properly cooked. Fry the garlic, red chillies and zeera in oil and put it into daal. Its ready for eating with plain boiled rice or roti.
Re: Haray mash ki daal saag
12-14 total chillies
do you want hin baji to fly like a rocket after having this many chillies…lol… Ok my mom kind of makes it the same way except she doesn’t put any spinach and very less chillies. Like for 1 cup daal 1 or 2 green chillies, then corriander powder, salt, and ginger garlic paste. Let it cook. And then give bhigar. Enjoy with white rice (most preferable) or roti, green chutney or achar.
And people you never put grounded or crushed red pepper in this daal.
Re: Haray mash ki daal saag
You do not need to pierce the red chillies. It is a very mild and tasty dish and spinach is compulsory item.
Re: Haray mash ki daal saag
One thing moe, one should put enough water so once cooked, it is in the liquid form (but slightly thick).
Re: Haray mash ki daal saag
The water should be at least three times of the daal i.e after soaking drain out the water and then put water (three times of daal) and boil.

green mash ko english main kya kahen ge?
You won't find this daal at English grocery stores (if that is why you are asking what it is called in english.) You'll have to check the desi grocery store and they use green mash or sabat mash or sabat chiltay ke mash or something along these line.
