I heard on local radio that there were some "demonstrations" against attack on Hamid Mir and some number of people got hurt, is that true?

It was ullu ka patha Zaid Hamid who put video of Khawaja Asif’s old speech against army on Facebook/Twitter to put govt and army face to face in red.

Zaid Hamid alone can't be responsible for such a big showdown. Actually it was Amir Mir who threw allegations on ISI and its chief the very next day without any confirmation. That was the start. Then Jang Group religiously played for Nawaz uncle and maligned ISI and Army, again without any evidence.

I am talking about the beginning of pitting army vs govt, not just this saga.

even if amir mir threw allegations, geo should not show it like breaking news and showing the pic of chief of ISI, they should have only shown the statement of amir mir. I think they realized late therefore took u turn today. ansar abbasi even asked for resignation

Jang group never was Musharraf's ally. It has always been a Nawazi newspaper group with righwing leaning.
