Re: Hajabi girls going half-naked in ONLY LADIES PARTY...
I don't wear a hajab and people automatically assume that I won't be as religious compared to a hajabi. Action speaks louder than words. Isn't hajab wearing woman portrayed to be righteous since she is wearing that for God's sake, possesses good character, and for others who look up to her?
That's how it should be ideally and its unfortunate that they don't follow up on it in the presence of just women and go beyond the limits set by Allah (SWT). BUT I personally still won't think negatively about them (I would think at least they don't walk around town half-naked) instead I will work on myself and try to be a good representation of a Muslim woman.
Re: Hajabi girls going half-naked in ONLY LADIES PARTY...
I act like a Muslim, pray 5times, but I have never worn a hajab because most people don't wear it in Pakistan.
Alhamdulillah I live in a town with a lot of muslims so I don't have trouble wearing hijab but can you imagine how much strength it takes for a women to wear hijab in countries where there is so much negative connotation around it. Should we really look down upon them because they decided to wear a dress with their girlfiends around?
Re: Hajabi girls going half-naked in ONLY LADIES PARTY...
gosh the ignorance lmao
so 'hijaabeez' can't dress a lil nangoo when na mehram's are not there???!!
yeah so they should cloak it up 24/7! Allah swt didn't order it luvvies...get with the programme..
who the hell are you to judge? jelous that they looked hotter than you without the cloak?!! LMAO
Re: Hajabi girls going half-naked in ONLY LADIES PARTY...
I wear ONLY those clothes that I NORMALLY wear 24/7.... I can't understand the two extremes, butt cheeks and cleavage exposed than the covered aabaya girl... I am asking whether there is a limit???... Trust me, some of the girls weighs heavy but were proud about revealing skin... :)
gosh the ignorance lmao

^Afshi has answered your question in great details. Obviously, Puchy Kuchi dropped her 2cents without reading the thread. lol
Honestly, people go from one extreme to the other all the time. Underage kids who are ordered not to drink will likely break the law. Same when women are forced to wear abaya 24/7, the are likely to go from one extreme to the other. It's not really that hard to understand.
Re: Hajabi girls going half-naked in ONLY LADIES PARTY...
well everyone is not like you darling.....it's halal. Just accept it!!
they are doing no sin by revealing their skin in an all girls party
whereas you are sinngin by not wearing hijaab in front of men....
simple logic darl, don't make them out to be worse than you when in the eyes of Allah they are NOT doing anything wrong. Can I ask you why you have such an issue with it when Allah swt does not?
Re: Hajabi girls going half-naked in ONLY LADIES PARTY...
If a group of friends likes to use certain words amongst themselves, what is so bad about that? Black people call each other nigga all the time, friends make racist jokes against each other all the time--if you personally don't like it and find it offensive, that's perfectly fine--but that doesn't mean that those who do use those words **within certain company **do not have class or manners.
depends on who's standards are being used as a measuring bar......
all the words you have mentioned would never, ever be used by someone that holds themselves in high regard.....they are considered "trash talk" and we all know who uses that kind of foul language.
Re: Hajabi girls going half-naked in ONLY LADIES PARTY...
^That's bull! It's all about what kind of relationship you have with that person. I can call my husband a manwhore jokingly and it wouldn't mean I don't respect him becausely ONE I KNOW he is not and TWO I KNOW he won't mind me saying something like that. How you define respect entirely depends on the parties involved. It would be a different story if I called him that in front of someone else.
Re: Hajabi girls going half-naked in ONLY LADIES PARTY...
Theorist, I don't think it depends on the relationship ... it depends on the individual and your own ... I won't say values/morals ... but your own etiquette. Perhaps that is better. It's great you and your spouse have that kind of relationship where you can be open with each other. That's your own etiquette though.
Some of my friends are more than family to me, but we don't ever call each other names even as a joke. Maybe I did it in my 20s, I can't recall ... but I would never do it now. If someone were to call me a name, even as a joke, I will be offended. We just don't interact with each other like that. It's like calling someone a ***** as a joke. I wouldn't like it one bit.
If you accept something even as a joke, don't be surprised when someone else comes along and says something equally as offensive to you and expects you to take it nicely.
I think this is a whole other topic. Girls who degrade themselves by referring to each other as *****es, hos, etc. Some people may find it funny .... you can't expect someone else to value you when you don't value yourself.
Re: Hajabi girls going half-naked in ONLY LADIES PARTY...
^That's why it depends on the kind of relationship you have built with that person over years. Ever noticed when you have a falling out with one of your friends, the relationship never returns to its normal state for some time?
Re: Hajabi girls going half-naked in ONLY LADIES PARTY...
No Theorist, I cannot relate to that. I have a tight, and very good, circle of friends. We occassionally have a disagreement that leads to hurt feelings, but it has rarely been something that has totally ended a friendship ..... cause we value each other as people and never crossed that line to name calling.

You dont have the kind of relationship where you can call each other "whores or sluts" then. Simple! Some people do have that relationship whether you understand it or not. My cousin and her friends call each other all the cuss words under the sun. I have absolutely no right to judge them. They are calling each other that and are not rubbing it in my face. Why should I care what they say to each other?
