Re: hair dandruff pls help
I've read that lemon juice is effective for dandruff...but haven't really tried it
fenugreek (methi) seeds are effective but for me they only worked as long as I kept using them...you can try them. Soak some seed in water or yogurt over night, in the morning grind them to make a paste and apply to scalp and let dry, then wash as usual. Repeat once a week. It really reduces the dandruff even in one application, maybe I just din't use it long enough

I would say that the neutrogena shampoo works really well, but you have to shampoo your hair every day (or every other day) until you use up all of the shampoo bottle.
Dry scalp is a big problem

Re: hair dandruff pls help
I had bad hairfall and dandruff a couple of months ago...and my doctor suggested me to have a 1 tsp of cold pressed virgin sunflower oil in the morning everyday. It does taste weird to put raw oil into your mouth, but then you get used to it in a couple of days. 2 months later, my hair and skin have a nice sheen, my dandruff has gone, and my hairfall has considerably reduced too.
Also, get ur scalp tested in the lab once to see if you have a fungal infection...

Neutrogena T-Gel which is a coal tar shampoo treats a different cause of dandruff/flaky itchy scalp to Nizoral. So usually, one will be effective and the other won’t. Try one, use for a month, if it doesn’t work, try the other.
Nizoral is just a trade name, the medicated shampoo is actually called Ketoconazole so ask at an actual pharmacy counter for this. If they don’t have it in stock or have increased the price I guess they are having manufacturing problems of said compound.
Re: hair dandruff pls help
I don't have any problem any more except a patch on the back of my head near the nape of my neck where my skin is very dry and huge flakes come off if it I scratch it. But it's different from when I used to use nizoral so I think it's just dryness (gets worse in winter) and it goes away if I do the following for 2 or 3 shampoos:
Take a couple of drops of coconut oil and just one or two drops of castor oil, mix together in my hand and with the tips of my fingers massage it on to my scalp only (not the hair) where I'm having the problem. I might need to do this two or three times before I'm satisfied the area is moisturised enough (not feeling dry to the touch). I do this the night before the morning I will shampoo. After 2-3 shampoos (about a week) it's no longer dry or flaky but then if I stop for a few weeks it goes back to how it was.
Re: hair dandruff pls help
Ok I was having a huge problem with hairfall and dandruff. During my search for remedies, I read somewhere that putting onion juice helps on your scalp helps. As disgusting as it sounds, I was desperate and decided to give it a try. I took one onion cut it up, put it in a chopper and chopped it really fine. The i used the paper towel to separate the pulp from the juice. Please use gloves when you are doing this. I then used my fingertips to rub the onion juice on my scalp. I wrapped a towel around my head and left it for 2 hours. I then massaged in some oil, left it for another 30 mins.
I had to wash it 3 times to get rid of the smell + vinegar rinse.
When my hair dried, I noticed there were no flakes, my hair was really shiny and felt healthier to the touch. I thought it will back to normal after my next wash. But to my surprise the effects lasted for over a month. My hair fall decreased significantly and I had no dandruff for over a month. Dandruff did come back but hair fall stopped Allhudulillah.
