ure actually right! i knew a guy who died because he was chewing gum while he was keeping the goal. The ball hit him in the tummy and he ended up swallowing the gum and it blocked his laryx or something and he died in minutes! I know chances of such a thing happened in the gym are rare, but lets say the machine breaks down (power outtage or something) and the tread stops while u're running at 8mph)! If your throat dries up while running, that means ure breathing too heavily from your mouth, loosen up the workout a little and use ur nose to inhale, use ur mouth to exhale.
^^ exactly. One shouldnt take risk anyway. If you get too thirsty while doing ur cardio or ur daily exercises why not just bring a bottle of water along?
I gymmed consistently over 2 weeks of holidays and ate lots of fruits and veggies and relaxed since I was home. I feel new :)
People are a bit shocked at my biceps though. They are rather large, especially when I flex. I didn't do much weight-training thusly. Why is it that other women can lift twice as more weights as me, yet not bulk up?
OK guys i am kinda sad here :( cuz lately i feel i am not enjoying my excercise...and neither have the strenght to push hard at it :( Should i be taking some supplements or what?. I lost only 2-3 pounds but abt 1 inch all over....hmm i think that sucks cuz i remember tryin to loose weight at home with diet control and treadmil and within a month i lost abt 10 pounds and it was so visible that my clothes started looking oddly loose....so i dont know where am i going wrong now :(....thats depressing.
Also the cold weather is making me lazy, i think :(
Well, you have to realize the 10lb that you lost initially by controlling your deit was
i) Not the right way to lose weight
ii) Anything over 1lb per week is bad yo!
iii) Initially your body dehydrates and the easy to lose fat vanishes fast, so you cant expect weight loss at the same rate
iv) exercising can at times tone you up real nice, but you’ll weigh the same, because remember, muscles denser than fat!
My advice, just keep doing what you are doing right now! Watch your favorite show when you’re on the treads or something to keep yourself busy.

everyone is built differently. if you have bigger arms to begin with...naturally your arms will look bigger then the girl with skinny arms next to you especially after getting a good bicep workout. Not sure what your shape is like so I am just making assumptions here.
weight training will not make you bulk up. women are not made to bulk up unless they are taking steriods. the more you weight train the more fat you will burn from your arms....eventually you will develop long lean muscles. However keep in mind if you are not genetically built to be skinny from the arms...you cant expect to have the same skinny arms other girls have....but they will get leaner. give it some time.
NOthing helps to make treadmil easy for me :( i have tried it all.....hai Allah :(
dont use the treadmil then...try some other form of cardio. treadmil is not for everyone.
I have been working out consistently over the past few months. The scales are not budging but my body fat percentage has come down by 3%. I was complaining about this to my dad who at his age (60s) is still very buff MA. He was like, agar weight lose kar na hey to khana khana chor do! So basically, I shouldnt be looking at the scales? I so want to be 3kg lighter.
Okay Maham, I like this log of yours...maybe Ill post a few in here too?
I want to go tomorrow but not sure if I will be up that early. We have to go apartment hunting around noon but maybe I can catch a Pilates class around 9.30am or so...
catty you are absolutely right! you should not be looking at the scale. just look at how your clothes fit you…if you are satisfied then that is all that matters.
Also…muscle mass adds weight 2. you are losing fat but gaining muscle which is why the scale is not budging. i say ignore the scale and go with how you look in your clothes :k:
also if you are really trying to lose weight then your dad is right…you need to eat lighter more healthier meals. if you are not then all you are really doing is maintaining your weight by working out not losing.
