What do you mean as in connected…do we see each other for real or just talk to each other, or chat with each other off GS…

Some very nice people on GS emotionally supported me alot during my tough time. I believe that whenever I posted a problem people here tried to give me very honest and good advises. They didn't know me yet most of them truly tried to realise what I am going thru and took out time to write replies to me.

GS ppl have helped me growing more mature and getting out of the typical desi woman's self pittiness. Sometimes I have got some harsh replies but they really made me think.
I post private issues on GS that I never discuss with anyone in real life. I feel most desis can be very judging in real life and love to discuss different issues anonymously here on GS!

I love this place...its been therapeutic for me to be on GS because during the most chaotic moments...this was a constant. I could come here, be silly, talk, goof off and felt like myself again.
It plays an important role in my life because I have made friends in reality and talk to them too. Its like meeting friends at work or school...you get to build over time with them. Yes, there is a certain level of anonymity still...Im not a very private person though...lol.

I have read some nice advice on GS and sometimes use it to vent but thats it, doesn't have much impact on my life and I'm not connected to any of the ppl on GS off the Internet.

It feels like a separte world (like work, for example) where you interact with people. Like another almost regular world/dimension of your life....if that makes sense.
Occasionally, it can even feel like family.....considering that you may run into the members on the forums much more often......than you'd run into friends in real life.

I don't know how I would get through the day without GS. I throw temper tantrums when GS is down for pro-long periods at a time. Such as YESTERDAY!!!

it does play some role i guess since i always log in whenever im on computer.. and i like it alot.. interesting, fun and get alot to learn!
Personally, I find it's a great place to vent - I enjoy the anonymity which saves my loved ones from my wrath.
Plus, I enjoy the sharing of ideas and verbal sparring with some people on line - helps to keep the mind sharp.
