Director Ashutosh Gowariker is the latest controversy king. After the fiery war of words with Sajid Khan at an awards function earlier this year, he now made a very insulting remark on Priyanka Chopra at a very recent award function.
According to sources, when Ashutosh Gowariker was called on stage to collect the best director award for ‘Jodhaa Akbar’, he pompously said, “
Priyanka I Love You, but I don`t know how you got the award for Best Actress when Aishwarya was also nominated in the same category for ‘Jodhaa Akbar’”.
Priyanka bore the insult silently but Bhandarkar was livid at the remark.
Madhur Bhandarkar made his displeasure clear by saying, “I’m shocked by what Ashutosh had to say. We’re friends and I admire his work. More than us, our wives are very close friends. If he felt this way he should’ve shared it with me and Priyanka, not spoilt the golden moment for her on stage. Priyanka got every popular award. Doesn’t that prove she deserves it?”
Priyanka is working for Gowariker’s ‘What’s Your Raashee’ and the displeasing remark has left her dejected. According to a source, she shunned the post event party and was heard saying, “I don`t want to go there and see his face”.
why is aishwarya rai so hyped up? i agree that priyanka wasn't ALL THAT but neither was aishwarya. just because she has a pretty face and is popular internationally (debatable) doesn't mean every award needs to be handed to her. as it is, it's beyond annoying to watch award ceremonies CREATING useless awards just for the heck of pleasing aishwarya and shahrukh khan. if either of them aren't winning anything, you will see some nonsense award like superstar of the decade or superstar of this or stylish this or whatever.
and what's up with ashutosh and his progressive rudeness? i fail to understand his problem. he's turning into a grumpy person who's either sitting frowning in the audience or whining on stage. only a couple of movies old and he thinks he's gods gift to bollywood.
^lol! he just didn't fit it right. i was watching an interview and some director said the same thing. amir was the best one in the entire year, his acting was amazinggggg in ghajini. even akshay kumar refused to take his award because he said amir deserved it more. these are the people who aren't hungry for awards.

yeah i think you are right about the bachchans thinking they are some hot stuff untouchable stuff..especially jaya but actually i don<t think abhishek is like that. i<ve seen him in interviews and he is so honest about his bad beginning in bollywood and down to earth, friednly and funny. but actually i think he is getting better in acting now then before. he is making his own pehchan now not like b4 as he was just amitabh<s son and that now he is just aishwariy<s husband.
but i never thought of him as eye candy of his wife<s..haha..but now that i think of it she does have a really cute young husband.
oh jeez. jaya bacchan has some real issues thinking her daughter in law is the most perfect angel ever. she was on that karan johar’s show with her annoying daughter shweta and together they were ridiculing vivek oberoi just because he’s aishwarya’s ex. then she gave some stupid statement saying, im gonna slap shahrukh khan when he had supposedly brought up aishwarya’s name during his big fight with salman.
jaya bacchan is in a totally random world of her own if she thinks her bahu is some savi savitri type person who just gets ‘maligned’ by other people. time for her to snap out of it and realize aishwarya is no seedhi saadhi but rather cunning and irritating. she hasn’t said anything about salman khan yet but im sure if she ever does, he’s gonna seedhafy her dimagh.
