Propaganda and media? I have been reading and posting here for 5 years. I have read the Quran. I have gone through hadith. I have read general and theoretical comparative studies. That is what I base my analyasis on of your misinterpretation of Islam.
I don't despise a people, it seems you are the one who despises because of your angry and hateful posts toward non-Muslims. That is not the message I derive from studying Islam, but I do not let those rants disparage my feelings towards Muslims or Islam. And btw, I have learned more from your posts than anythng from Goebbels and Goering.
Hate is a word which is apparent from the number of instances I would meddle in the affairs of other religions, and I could care less about them…
However, your obsession with trying to teach Muslims how to be Muslims and to bring about a revolutionary change in Islam as you wish to see it is a cause for concern…
It is enough for me to say that I reject all other religions and have nothing to do with them unless something needs clarification on why I reject them…As a result I find it easy to tolerate them since I have nothing to do with them… I don’t need to go into ridiculing the followers of a religion, mocking their beliefs, trying to change their religion or the way the followers of a religion view their faith…I stick to my religion and beliefs and am willing to justify them with arguments…
If the followers of another religion choose to eat pork despite their religion forbidding it, heck, I can only ask them why they do it or why they don’t obey their religion…I can’t come up with my own arguments to try and correct the beliefs of another person according to what I think is correct…
You say you have read the Quran and have interacted with Muslims for 5 years, yet your naivety and knowledge regarding Islam in your arguments borders on absolute ignorance…
A drop of water may sprout an entire forest in the fertile soil and the most torrential of tempests cannot raise a blade of grass on the barren land…
You know nothing except what your prejudices lead you to believe, which is nothing more than media induced rage and fury against a certain people, whosoever they may be…
You are a proud and patriotic American but a poor citizen of the world for the world has been fenced in for you, limiting your vision to what you should see instead of what you could see, much like a horse with its blinders on…
So stop pretending to know anything about Islam…It gives your arguments more credibility given that you don;t know a thing about it…
posting a thread on what people feel about dogs in islam? does that automatically make u think that i’m gona make a decision based on what people think? or the number of yes or no replies i get?
the religion forum, or any other forum all over the net are there for a reason for people to share and exchange ideas and thots
its these smalls issues that u can discuss without hundreds of people which if it wasn’t for an online community u would only be able to collect a handful of opinions
that has to be the most ignorant thing i've read in this thread
lajawab, from all the people i've met that have researched islam or anyother religion that do not belong to it tend to know more than the average joe.
most non-muslims or converts who have researched islam have more knowledge than islam than u and i, for obvious reasons.
on a side note, why get so emotional and keep posting something in a thread that isn't remotly related to the topic?

"representin' ? standing up for ur religion? fighting back for islam?"
ignorant
It's always been a dilemma for me too, I would love to have a dog as a pet, and we used to have dogs before, but Im scared of what the mullas in the family would say - theyd probably never come to my house.
***And just to bring it to everyones attention, even though cats are allowed inside the house, even house broken and trained Cats are fillthier than dogs, Cats spray their territory with urine, that keeps other Filthy cats out… ***
Funny... it appears from this thread that if anything, it is those who advocate the position that God hates dogs that have serious relationship problems with other humans or serious mental issues.
I'm just saying that I (no comment on God) hate those dog owners who treat their pet like a human child. Such people need to be shot.
Personally, I kind of like huskies. If ever I lived in the arctic, I would definitely keep a team of them handy...and yes, they'd have an igloo all to their selves.
Back home in India, my Mom had a german sheppard to look after the livestock. No biggie. Yeah, the dog never stepped foot in the house...but so what?
^ Because dogs are singled out from all other animals, it’s the only conclusion I can reach. I have heard variations of this bias against dogs that includes:
Angels won't come into homes w/dogs..... A household with a dog is deprived of the God’s mercy large portion of your reward will be diminished every day you have one.... Muhammed ordered the killing of dogs...... Dog's saliva is a contaminant that voids ritual purity and requires special washing, some say up to 7 times plus a sprinkling of sand.....If a dog pass in front of men in prayer, it will void or nullify that prayer.
I obviously don’t believe God hates dogs, but feel this is cultural antidog prejudice that some had made divine that has survived into modern times.
^ well, it would be like God 'warned' you about bad side-effects of things. Does God hate everything that He told us to stay away from? I don't think that is the case.
