Couldn't we leave it up to the individual whether he/she wants to eat all animals regardless of which religion they follow? Not all Hindus are vegetarians so nobody should have a right to force others to only be vegetarians or only be noveg. For most Hindus it's more of a personal choice and some might use their personal belief of not wanting to kill animals for nourishment as a reason.
I know there are a few vegetarian Christians, Jews or Muslims out there that just prefer not to eat meat. It's a personal choice.

Did anyone in history (even in the barbarity of 7th century Arabia from where all great debate orignates in this forum) ever think plants don't have life? Did anyone here say they don't? Plants, animals, protists, fungi, bacteria and archaea are all life forms - but all are very different. Their reproductive abilities, metabolism and response to stimuli are all very different - so are the processes that are involved in raising, feeding, killing and eating of them.

All this was not being mentioned keeping hindus in mind from some point i think. It was about being vegetarian or non vegetarian. if not atleast animal sacrifice as an offer to some god.
a question came into my mind from this thread. All the non-muslims, good or bad, or my neighbor who is very good to me, i will say he is better then me in every way. he will burn in hell.. hmmm. Islam says this right ?
For those who say he is a 'good' person so will he go to hell...how do you define a 'good' person...You have asked the question in the religion forum asking for the Islamic perspective and based on that your a good person based on how much you try and do what Allah says is right and avoid what he says is wrong...so someone who doesnt drink doesnt get reward unless they do it to please Allah for instance...i know a lot of people that are nice guys but are they good people...that depends on how much they please Allah isnt it...
There is no definitive answer in terms of each individual...its Allahs decsion but thats the basic premise...i think im a good person based on this soceities standards but im a terrible person when it comes to adhering to the rules of my faith which makes me a bad person...
When an athiest intends to help a beggar, he does it with the intention that he is helping the beggar whereas he is only helping his own sense of good feeling.
When a believer intends to help a beggar he does so thinking God is helping the beggar through him and that he should humble himself in this act of giving.
The good feeling in the athiest is one of arrogance, the good feeling in the believer is spiritual joy and will get a reward in the hereafter.
Now a believer gets his reward from God in the hereafter because his intention was to gain God's mercy and happiness by doing good, the athiest on the other hand denies the existence of God all his life but if he expects from God to recognise and count his good deeds when meeting Him at the Day of Judgement then this would be an injustice to those believers.
Also when a non muslim becomes a believer all his previous sins are washed away and all his previous good deeds and following ones will be counted in the hereafter.
Not in the mind of the believer but according to Qur'an and Sunnah.

Any person who believes in Tawhid will enter Jannah eventually, Allah can forgive any sin but He will not forgive Intentional Shirk thats why Mushrikun(polytheists) will not enter into paradise and will remain in Fire forever.
