How long before could I book the apartment? i think they will not be willing to book it fairly advance; after all they are looking for tenents rather than weekly renters. Other thing is the rent, you are suggesting that it would be cheaper than a hotel??

Actually whenever we go, we're a family of 4, abu ami, me and my bro, so we usually book a 3 bedroom hotel appartment. These appartments are booked just like you would book a hotel room, but you get better quality and more space. for instance you get a kitchen with great appliances for your short stay etc. These appartments also have restaurants on the ground or 1st floor levels where you could go down for a proper buffet breakfast or lunch/dinner. They are called serviced/hotel appartments.
a 3 star hotel appartment is better than a 4 star or sometmes 5 star hotel room, and I'm speaking real quality.
you could get a studio flat and you just book as in advance as you would your hotel room and for 3 days or more. thats it :)

I do agree with you my friend...but the KIH&A is almost 5 star on facilities...though not officially.
I believe you are looking for a range of around UAEDhs.500 (I can get you KAZI's at 700 though) but considering your budget... I suggest that you visit DESERT ROSE HOTEL website. It could be worth a shot..I have stayed there umpteenth times for shoots...and its a good hotel and a good ten minutes walk to BUR JUMAN...while SPINNEYS is attached to it....near RAMADA, Dubai....mostly the showbiz from Pak and India stay there.
People from showbiz are either at desert rose or york international in Bur Dubai.. if u're coming down with u're wife.. please stay clear from those area's as they aren't the best places to be around at nite. Try furnished apts in shj/ajman u'll get one within u're budget there..

Frankly speaking the golden sands area at night freaks the crap put of me at night! i have heard sooo many things about it!! prostitutes and rapists and all sorts of crap . . .
Yup! Fahim Burney and his entire cast is almost always at the york intl..anwar maqsood, moin akhtar when shooting for loose talk were at desert rose. Majority of them are roaming the lobby =)

Dont know about showbiz people but those areas are red-light zones. They're not only cheap looking but also not decent places of stay for family or decent gentlemen.

Nope! i dont reccomend anything in that area AT ALL! Those area's are ok for bachelors..certainly not for families.. try furnished apts in Qusais..thats' closer to Dubai and wud be cheaper too..
Ok yeah i guess you are right, my grade 12 prom was in Four Point Sheraton and well it was horrible. Qusais has become expensive too! Come to think of it, there is not one area of Dubai which has not increased in value etc ... But you are right that Qusais is still the families type area. Rashidiya too but Rashidiya does not have hotels. Garhoud is nice but the hotels all are expensive and not fitting salhu's budget.
Yup! That's why the closest place to Dubai wud be Qusais for him..and the area is nice too! Just please stay away from Golden Sands, York Intl, Desert Rose, Sheraton 4 points..and the whole of Bur Dubai..
