In Chicago, don't forget to have the legendary Chicago-style deep dish pizza. Giordano's and Pizzeria UNO are both highly recommended. But there are lots of other good choices around too like Lou Malnati's Pizzeria.
Also popcorn from Garrett Popcorn Shops should not be missed if you have time. I personally love the 'Chicago Mix' but there are other flavors too.
As for Devon, Gemini the Great has already mentioned Sabri Nihari. Obviously its Nihari is famous. Its frontier chicken is not bad either. Nearby, Usmania "Fine Dining" has some good seekh kabobs and reasonable karhai but Sabri is more popular so if you guys are in mood for desi food and haven't been to Sabri before then you may want to go there instead. Uru-Swati has some fine South Indian food, including great dosas. And of course Tahoora Sweets needs no introduction. Personal favorites: mango kalakand and pista burfi. That said, with the exception of Imriti, none of the sweets that we have tried from there really disappointed.
Lastly, the lunch buffet at Reza's Restaurant offers outstanding value for money. There are four of those in Chicago, including one in Clark St. next door to Devon. The cuisine there is Persian/Mediterranean but the buffet features some nice nihari and great chicken biryani too!
GTG is short for Gemini The Great.....the poster who has been extremely helpful in this thread
oh...silly me! now i know i'm KKF lol...what's your shorter version of your nick? :p
Same.. Don't remember the parking.. What goodname shared must be correct. At falls itself there is meter parking at some places but I think we just parked at the hotel, walked around and then drove to TO next day.
nopse we didnt since we were planning to go to CN tower anyway and didnt feel like it will be worth much considering the fall view we had from the hotel :D
Niagara from the air: you might be interested in taking a helicopter ride which gives you unique vintage point to see Niagara and the surrounding areas...shows you how the Niagara River zigzags leading into the fall...the low level flight is a must if you wouldn't mind spending some serious bucks. :) good luck!
I was checking out restaurants for our upcoming trip and saw this coupon.. enjoy! I totally forgot to tell you but yes we do check out zabihah.com for halal food when going on vacation.. check out their reviews as well.
Gtg, thx alot for ur help. I know about zabhiha website, but there are so many mixed reviews. Anyhow, how is casablanca at niagara falls? I m just worried about driving 10 hrs to niagara falls :( never driven more than 4 hrs from miami to orlando.
