while wars may be fought for a lot of reasons other than religion, religion does play a huge role in rousing opinion in favor of many wars, including the current ones. for eg., a lot of edumacated american christians believe izlam has declared war on them, and still continue to back the pointless conflict. religion may not be the cause of many wars, but its dogmatic and volatile nature makes it an easy tool for manipulating masses into taking positions they wouldn’t go along with if they were to behave rationally.

religiosity also makes for a very easily exploitable achilles heel in heterogeneous communities - look at how quickly iraqi society crumbled under shia-sunni violence.

also at least a couple of the most dangerous threats to peace in the world today even if you exclude the ongoing wars, are religious in nature, or have religion playing a lead role.

which is not to say atheists are any less dangerous. they just don’t have quite that big a platform of acceptable irrational hatred for “the others” built up from centuries, maybe even millenia, at their disposal.

The people who want power will play on the religiosity of people to achieve their ends … this is different to saying that religion has a huge role to play in rousing opinion. The fact is that people are religious, but they are not very smart - when they see a wolf (not in sheep’s clothing but) in shepherd’s clothing they follow those wolves as though they are shepherds … the religion is not to blame, but the people who allowed themselves to be misled in the name of their religion and the real culprits are those vampires who prey on the masses … This is why they want us to be clever enough to be productive, but dumb enough to be led around without question.

This essentially is warmongery and not religion … included in this warfare process is the role played by the “global markets and banks”, “entertainment and news industry” and the reason why atheism is being spearheaded by these warmongers is because they have found that …

“those who don’t believe in something, believe in anything” - ironically atheism is not freedom of the mind, but confinement to the idea that there is no “moral” purpose beyond life. This way people are more likely to value their lives over what we consider as nominal morality and hence become controllable … atheism in Islamic terms is to replace Deity with man … i.e. the fear that we aught to place in Deity, is placed in those who are in power. Islamically it is impossible to be an atheist - since something will be worshipped in kind - be that the human form of beauty, wealth, or power.

Religion based on Deity actually liberates the people and puts all people as equals amongst each other - irradicating religion will then bind us to view each other with other standards - such as power and influence.
