Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~
hi gina got another question for u, how affective are those blackhead nose pore strips, i used it only once and it didnt work i got more acne, am i not using them properly?
also is there any other way of removing blackheads from your nose, i got loads apart from the steaming, i tried that once then threaded them i had a scar and it took ages for it to go?
thx for your reply.
The pore strips shudn't make u breakout.. and u can't thread blackheads.. they're logged-deep into the upper epidermis.
A mixture of baking soda and water (enuff to form a paste and applied) is the most effective home-remedy I know of..
If u're above 25 have regular facials..
hi gina. i've been using ur sandalwood rcipe for scars, n its working for me. i have sensetive skin prone to acne.im 21 how many months or weeks before wedding shud i start getting facials if any? i hav never had a facial done b4.
^ Alhamdulilah..
If u have good skin, don't ruin it by getting facials done. If u still want to get them done make sure u begin 4-5 months before u're wedding so incase there's any reaction to any product uses..u're face has time to settle down.
Pinklove that's prolly because of ingrown hair..common after waxing. Best thing wud be to exfoliate u're skin with a good home-made scrub like olive oil and brown sugar mix in some lemon too..and follow up with a good moisturizer.
should we heat the mixture or apply it as it is????should we grind the sugar??
so which facial shud i get done? or start getting?
Gina.. the sandalwood recepie did not work on me.. i used it regularly for about a month but nothing happened. I live in Pakistan and got the sandalwood from local store.
I mixed red sandalwood powder with wild turmeric and lemon juice
sometimes i mixed it in milk and sometimes in rose water
what shud i do? getting married in nov inshallah.. i have some spots as a result of pimples , but otherwise have a good skin
Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~
Hi Gina, help me too please... i'm getting married a week after Eid-ul-Fitr InshaALLAH Taala. can you please suggest me some complexion lightening and glowing tips.. i'm a little lazy in these desi home remedies, better if you suggest me some night or day creams as i'm staying home from now................... :D
Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~
and one more thing * well, I have not taken care of my skin at all, and not had a single facial until now.... my skin is acne-free, smooth MashaALLAH. but as i went to all the shopping in the past 6 months without sunblocks :$ the colour of my face and neck is changed! face is 5 6 shades darker than neck :( inlaws are coming to see me soon and i want to look glowing and even-toned :(*
FACE HAIR ALERT!!!
anything to reduce facial hair?
its not soooooo much, it's sooo not fun!! but i find it really annoying that there are these hair on the sides of my face, and if not kept bleached, it looks not so nice, especially in pictures.
the worst thing i did was to wax it (myself damn) ... and use those sandpaper-like things (so not a good idea!!!) a couple of times ... plucked a few (oops, sorry!!!) .... this gave me so many pimples and left me with scars ... the scars i have dealt with cuz i'd been VERY religious with keeping my skin clean and doing a nightly regimen .. avoided any kind of make up on my face ....
but i feel/think my hair has grown longer there!!!! NOOOOooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!
what can i do to reduce facial hair? :(

This remedy has helped so many people..men and women.. I just hope the sandalwood didn't have anything mixed in. I bought a box of it during my last visit to Pakistan.. and to my horror.. discovered it was colored saw-dust.
Have u been to a derm? If the marks are dark then perhaps u shud see one and get a Hydroquinine gel prescribed.. (this works faster than home-remedies)

Yoghurt, a pinch of turmeric and lemon juice (apply it like a mask and wash-off) This will help get rid of the tan..
Rub a sliced tomato directly onto u're face for 5-10 mins.. this will help as well.
Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~
^ Thanks alot Gina hug but I would have loved it more if you have recommended any night or day creams for myself.. my skin is normal - problem free! Alhamdulillah!! and yes, do suggest something about facial hair removing,.. i've never waxed on face or used anything to remove my facial hair.. but i want to go for hot wax in wedding services! i've heard from people if you wax once you'll have to wax it forever as the hair texture would be harder or more visible after a couple of months.. so scared to do that also..what do you suggest Gina?
Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~
Gina, where can you get red sandalwood powder and wild turmeric in Pakistan. I tried looking for the turmeric at Saeed Ghani but it wasn't available.
Secondly, can the ubtan sold at Saeed Ghani be used on the face. My mom said it has too many chemicals and is not the real thing, but I would like a second opinion on that. Help?
