How do most women deal with pubic hair? I mean waxing seems too hurtful (as well as too embarrassing).
Is shaving the only possible way? or are there creams for it? (because all the hair removal creams i have seen specifically state not for use for these areas). Or do women not get rid of this hair, and just groom it?
What is your recommendation on how to deal with/groom it?
(i really hope this is not an inappropriate question, if it is, just ignore it, i'm sorry).
i have hair on my face.... light hair.. not too much... but my beautician said me to bleach them before coming for the bridal makeup.... i am too confused... i have never bleached before so i dont know should i really bleach my face or not?

bleaching shouldn't be a problem, it's very common practice to bleach facial hair if it's darkish in colour but otherwise fine hairs and if you have fair skin. asian women often think we're the only one with these problems but you'll prob find that most white women with brown or black hair bleach their faces/upper lips as well. if you can get away with it, it's a much better idea than plucking/threading/waxing the face as any of these root removal methods will just promote thicker hair growth in this area.
back to bleaching though, it will make the hairs blond and much less noticeable and therefore make your face look a bit brighter. it's not the same bleach that's used to lighten skin, so you don't need to worry about that. you should be able to find it in the drugstore/chemist, it's usually called 'facial hair lightener'. get some and try it out, if you don't like it your hair will gradually turn back to it's normal colour anyway (within a few weeks).
Learn to work with u're color be it dark/olive or wheatish! Tanned girls can carry-off so much stuff that fair girls can't. It's the the norms of the society, it's important to be well groomed but it's NOT important to be fair! Maintain u're skin and work on improving the texture and quality rathar than dreaming of becoming fairer. NO cream, beverage, herbal remedy or magic can make u fair. So don't blv anyone selling miracle products they DON'T work!
If u're bleaching for the first time atleast do a couple of sessions before u're wedding so unexpected problems don't arise on the wedding day. A couple of months before the wedding bleach once a month (try a patch-test too)
Cleanse u're skin before u apply bleach and apply vaseline to the corner or u're eyes, nose and lips (delicate area's)
Hey on this fair complexion thing, i wanted to make a comment.
It is a weird reality in our society that people like fair complexion. You cant blame girls whos want fair complexion. You cant even ask them to be happy with the dark complexion. There is always a pressure from family and the society on these girls.
I have seen examples of my friends. One of them lives with her cousins cuz her parents passed away. She always have a pressure to make her complexion fair than what she has. They are looking for her rishtas and all. She is always been compared with her fair cousins. She is been under depression because of non expected comments on her skin tone, which really became worst when she had hormonal problems due to stress and got acne and acne scars. and again she was asked to pay attention on her complexion.
Its not her fault. She was born with not fair complexion but has really good features and personality. What her fault. How can she be happy with it when other people wont let her be.
When people come for rishtas they want to see gori Paki larkis in front of them. Just wonder how frustrated it is for her. How could one ask the girl to be happy (?)
This has become a societal norm. only us girls cant change it.
This is just like that Indian movie "Vivaah"....a fair cousin and a tanned cousin! :D
my sister legs dont have much hairs but all hairs present there are long almost 1 1/2 inch .which look weird !how can the size of them be decreased?she wax them but every time she gets same size after 2,3 months

LOL.
:P
well in 2-3 months, she is getting her full growth. its like if you cut your hair on the head, once in 1 year, then its going to be much longer before you cut it.
and if you get monthly haircuts, the length wont be as long at the end of the year.
tell her to wax every 3-4 weeks and then u wont see the hair as long.
btw, its a complete myth that waxing reduces hair thickness. its just that its much more slower (since its been plucked from the root) than when shaving, so it seems lesser for a while. if you let your hair grow out fully, you will see the "thickness" is still the same.
Mehreen, waxing is the best thing. Shaving can lead to ingrown hair and depilatory creams leave the skin dark and have too many chemicals.
how would you wax though? i mean i really think it would be too embarassing, i could NEVER go to someone for that. are there any home waxing that you guys recommend then? (something that is not too messy, and easy to use)
if you live in the U.S. you should definitely try Nature’s Cure. It is homeopathic tablets and acne cream. Absolutely no side affects or harm done. My friends and I have used it and the results have been great! I made the mistake of stopping too soon so my acne scars didn’t disappear completely. Im using it again and once they’re gone i’ll stop. It’ll feel like having new clean skin and use the correct products from then on.
Nature’s Cure..is sold in a box, which u can find at major drugs stores, Walmart and Target( i’m not sure if thats in all states lol) its only $10! the prices makes it even more worth it! it comes with 60 tablets…take one in the morning and one in the evening…so the box should last you a month.

ooooo i m satisfied with my complexion... however it sometimes gets too pale.. but i m not asking abt. bleach to fairen up my complexion... its just my makeup lady said me to bleach my face... n yes i agree with u.... nothing can make one look GORA.. if one doesnt have a GORA complexion :)
waysay u have sooo much knowledge.. but nothing can fair up the color???? really??? no herb sherb??? :) just asking....
n yes i dont have couple of months before wedding... i've only one month....
just tell me one more thing... can i bleach twice or thrice in one month?????
my facial hair is not that black either, however they r visible enough.... so i want to do something like bleach to lighten their color so that they dont look bad in pics on my shadi :)
Mehreen u can make the sugar-wax (halawa) at home or buy Veet wax strips there are so many ways..
No there's actually nothing u can do to make u're complexion fair no herb, no medicine, no topical lotion..however u can improve u're complexion and get that glow.
Bleach doesn't affect u're hair-growth but try on 1 brand of bleach a couple of months prior to marriage and stick with the same brand if it suits u.
Grooms should take care of themselves as well, it's their big day as well and even they deserve equal attention and pampering.
hunni-buney: as Gina said, bleach doesn't effect your hair growth. i have heard this old wives tale too! most women will find that they develop more facial hair as they grow older (such as those dratted chin hairs) so i think they put the two things together and blamed it on the bleach.
how often you bleach really depends on you and your hair. personally i do it once a week. it should be perfectly safe to do that often but do a test patch first to make sure you don't have a reaction. if it's ok you can move on and do your face the next day and then you can either leave it until your final bleach a day or two before the wedding, or maybe do it once more in between.
oh, and jolene bleach is really popular amongst our parents generation but i don't like it. find something that comes in two tubes that you have to mix in equal quantities. it's much easier to work with and therefore you should get good results.
and it's nice to hear someone say that are content with their facial hair :)
mehreen: if you want it all gone i'm afraid it's going to be tough thing to achieve yourself. it is painful but it does become less so with subsequent waxes. a lot of women just can't do that to themselves, lol. a lot of women will only have it done by a professional, other women will start by having it professionally done and then do it themselves when they are used to the pain (can take a while).
for doing it at home..... you need a wax or sugaring wax that won't stick to the skin but will get a good grip on the hair. otherwise veet bikini wax strips are really good and a non-messy option. just start with doing the bikini line and as much as you can and trim the rest (get a good bikini trimmer). over time you will probably find you can do more and more. my Egyptian friends get their mum's to make the halawa - i'm sure you can find out how on the internet.
Hey Gina
i was just wondering if you knew any remedies for weak nails.......my nails grow on their own but they're really weak so they break easily any way i can keep them strong so they won't break that easily
