Mum was reading all ur remidies and she is impressedd n was asking if u kno ne remidy for hair loss... she is loosing hair on the top of the head not the back but at the top above the forehead bit where roots are at the front... she suffers from thyroiddd and that does result in hormones messin boutt... laikin nefink u wud kno dat increase hair growth for old hair and make new hair grow?..

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

Shanno that's is supposed to reduce facial hair..once u get u're hair threaded run the area over with a wet piece of phitkari (alum) that too will decrease the growth.

Ask u're mom to be regular with her thyroxin whatever mg she takes..and take 500 ml olive oil, handful of henna leaves and 2 tablespoons methi dana..boil them all together and let this mixture sit for a week..use it on the scalp.

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

Malaikah what sort of scars..?

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

hii what is phitkari?

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

^ Lemon-salt in english(white in colour)

not sure though:)

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

If it is white lines kind of thing then you need to increase your calcium intake, drink more milk and take calcium supplement.

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

PF, it's called "alum" in English..

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

thnk you gina!

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

Gina, wow your knowledge is amazing, Mashallah!
Thanks for all the wonderful tips..
Do you know of any ways to 'cover up' or reduce stretch marks?
Thank you

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

Vitamin E oil or cream Smiley is prolly the best thing to use on stretch marks..and so is cocoa butter =)

Welcome PF!

All you girls out there..do take a multi-vitamin tablet everyday! For summers add a bunch of mint leaves to a pitcher of water and drink thru-out the day.
Keep a spray bottle of rosewater in the fridge and spray u're face everytime u get home...BLISS!

Keep aloe vera gel in the fridge too..for any sun-damage..

Use a GOOD sunblock and apply it atleast 20 mins before going outdoors..

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

Malaikah it's prolly due to sum lack of vitamin or minerals..u shud def have u're blood checked out and get it ruled-out. That wud be the best thing to do as of now..

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

hello gina

please can u help me out on these...

6.) Cinnamon & honey extremely good for uneven skin tones (apply and leave on for 20 mins and wash off)

ok i need to ask how much quantity of honey n cinammon to take...

10.) Red sandalwood powder and haldi, for scars (leave on for 1/2 hour)

how do i create this how much to take i hsve bought the sandal wood powder n the kachi haldi sticks

also none know nyplace to get gud ethnic mehendi done in dubai i wanna have the typical bridal mehendi not the arabic style...

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

Gina- I have indented acne scars the kind that look like skin is missing (holes) any recs?

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

FK quantity depends on the area that u need it for...if it's just a couple of pimples n marks then perhaps all u need is a tablespoon of each. Take 2 tablespoons of red sandalwood powder and 1/2 tsp of wild haldi..mix with enuff lemon juice to create a paste. I think u're referring to "mughul" style mehndi that's very intricate and "jaali" like.

PF, are those marks left by acne or chickenpox? Tomato juice and potato juice (in equal quantities) applied to those marks will tighten them.

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

yeh the same one u know where dubai this can be done...
