FK almost every parlour has this option, Depilex (The Haven) has that sort of henna as well..

Smughul ofcourse leave it on for 20 mins and wash it off with plain water.

Gina: you gave the recipe for ubtan earlier.

1 cup besan
1/4 cup milk powder
1/2 cup cinnamon
4 tblsps wild turmeric
1/2 almond powder.

Mix the above with either almond oil or olive oil..rosewater..

is almond powder in teaspoons or cups? Also what does cinnamon do for the face??? And milk powder can it be the carnation dry milk?? Is that the samething?

Also where can you get oatmeal powder from? I checked the indian stores they didn't have it....

The almond powder is 1/2 cup and u can purchase "jao" from any store and dry-grind that Pyari =) You may use any dry milk you want..

guys some nice info i found about alum (phitkari) what it also can be used as:

  • Makeup: Alum was often used as a base in skin whiteners and treatments during the late 16th Century in the Elizabethan fashion. This is an example of a recipe:

"For the Freckles which one getteth by the heat of the Sun: Take a little Allom beaten small, temper amonst it a well brayed white of an egg, put it on a milde fire, stirring it always about that it wax not hard, and when it casteth up the scum, then it is enough, wherewith anoint the Freckles the space of three dayes: if you will defend your self that you get no Freckles on the face, then anoint your face with the whites of eggs." Christopher Wirzung, General practise of Physicke, 1654.

  • Hair Stiffener: Alum was used in rock form in the 1950's to rub on the front short hair of a "crewcut". When the hair dried, it would stay up all day.

  • Fire retardant: By soaking and then drying cloth and paper materials they can be made fireproof.

  • Wax: Alum is used in the Middle East as a component in wax, compounded with other ingredients to create a hair-removal substance.

1) The marks that are left on the skin after scratching, especially on the legs.
2) The scars/marks left behind from pimples on the upper back.

these are a few tips by Dr. khurram.. a very famous dermatologist in karachi.

few hair tips for dandruff, healthy hair and shine:

A home remedy for dandruff is to mix 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar with 1/4 cup water.

Pour this mixture into a spray bottle and spritz it on to your hair and scalp, being careful to avoid the eye and ear area. Wrap your head in a towel.
After 15 minutes to an hour, remove the towel and wash your hair. This is generally done once to twice a week.

for HAIR FALL:
A mixture of equal quantity of fresh amla juice and lime juice when used as a shampoo stimulates hair growth and prevents hair loss.
One cup of lettuce and spinach juice taken daily prevents hair loss.

for Dandruff:
- Mix a spoonful of lemon juice with two spoonfuls of vinegar and massage on the scalp. Wash your hair with an egg shampoo after this.

  • Soak fenugreek (methi) seeds in yogurt overnight and apply the curd on your scalp for half an hour before washing in the morning.

  • Hair washed with fenugreek (methi) seed paste prevents dandruff, falling hair, baldness and dandruff keeping the hair long, healthy and black.
    Just soak the fenugreek seeds overnight in water to soften the seeds and grind in the morning to make paste.
    Before hair wash, apply this paste on scalp and hair and leave it on for half an hour. Wash off with shampoo later.

the above remedies are very effective and can be used by everyone.

for acne and scars: (by Dr. Khurram)
1. Sandal wood powder
2. Turmeric powder
3. Milk
Method of preparation:-
Mix all the ingredients to form a paste. Apply this as face pack. This rejuvenates the skin. and after u have washed out the mask spray some rose water.

Angel for scratch marks use olive oil blended with neem leaves (shud form a paste) leave it on for atleast 20 mins before washing off.

i saw on TV, by Dr. Khurram.. he said take some spinach n boil it, n drink that water... it will make ur face glow as it contains lots n lots of iron... moreover it gives instant energy to ladies as well.... same reason iron....

i just wanna ask did ayone try this? will it really make my complexion glow???

my eet have got extremely dark. Any tips for fair smooth soft feet? And also my nails are slightly yellow as i wore red nail polish without wearing abase coat. Any tips? Please help!!!!! xxx
