**I like business minded people. Like every profession, this also comes with pros and cons like for a businessmen all his stakes are in one thing and if it doesnt work, he is doomed where as in a job even if the owner is not earning he wl still provide salaries to the workers. However, i would still think the pros weighs over the cons for busninessmen as they don't have set working hours to follow and can adjust their work or timmings according to the family needs.

The only thing that would bother me with someone in business is if they had a job that requires them to travel often. I have several friends who work in various "business" professions and they're always travelling. I don't know how comfortable I would be with my husband being gone for days at a time on a regular basis.

True.
But you can accomodate it by accompanying him but that would get difficult with the kids n studies. However I don't think the travelling is that extensive for businessmen even if they deal in exports/imports.
Pwince charming to me is just a man who meets all my requirements on the checklist and someone who travels from the land of far far away to rescue me from the dragons.
I don’t mind. As long as he has the **potential **to be successful after marriage i.e. some strong qualifications in hand. My BIL had only been working for 2 years after postgrad and was earning an average salary in Pakistan, didn’t have a car or a bike, lived in a hostel and used public transport. Fast forward a year and a half, having been promoted 3 times, he’s now the head of the engineering dept and is earning double the amount, has a small apartment and a widdle car. Alhumdulillah my sister was happy then and she is happy now.
So I don’t think that’s demanding a bit too much, is it? Good education and some brains? Sorry but I’m not going to marry a college drop out who works in Tesco (mind you, retail industry pays pretty darn well, especially for managerial type roles). If that’s shallow and too princessy, so be it.
Dream profession would be a Doctor working for the Air Force, that is HOT!
I want a doctor because I’m a nerd and I talk about work ALL the time, he needs to understand what I’m talking about and when to go- “wow wifey, that’s so cooolll” instead of “acha good job, aj kia pakaya hai?!” And Air force because uniformed men are sooo awesome.
Definately not a doctor, as i work along side them n trust me they are no fun to be around when they are over worked or stressed. May be a architect or an M I 5 agent. Exciting !!

Agreed! BTW, don't forget ambition! :) I know a few people who have the education/brains (thanks to their parents) but after they got the education....they didn't really do much b/c of lack of ambition.
Well deary, it is a job and someone has got to do it.
What is the big deal? It is far from doing harm to anyone else, it's needed to keep our society running. We've taken the notion of getting an education in order to land a cushy desk job to the extreme of discounting or even ridiculing manual labor, which requires different skills and is often just as important as are the philosophers and poets on the planet.
Slowly falls back down to earth
Couldn't not agree with you after that.
And Murgi, to answer your question as to whether I clean the toilet in my home.....No, I do not, my Mum does it. :pI did think about cleaning it yesterday but I couldn't bring myself to do it, lol. And before anyone else calls me a 'princess' - I will clean the toilet one day, just not yet. :)
Profession doesnt matter, its personality that counts. You dont want to marry someone who thinks he's the best just coz he's got a good job, and looks at others as if they are nothing compared to him. you need love more than money. women should have a good job themselves, so they dont have to rely on thier other half.
not the same career as me, so def not dr since I'm studying to become one...probably lawyer but only because I find type A guys really hot. Of course, our marriage would be really unhealthy as I'm one of those type A people too...but oh well.
