And married ladies, if you have to choose a profession for your husband what field would you choose?
(all of them are good looking and educated so don’t go into that debate—please)

Re: Girls, who would you marry?
I would marry a nurse.
HEELLLLLOOOOOO NURSE!!! :D
Re: Girls, who would you marry?
I’d marry an MD/JD (I went to school with a guy who was doing a joint medical and legal degree, so it happens) and who is also qualified as a personal trainer.
Why should I limit myself ![]()
Re: Girls, who would you marry?
aw-shucks....I didn't create this thread to find out people's fantasies about role playing.
Re: Girls, who would you marry?
Okay, here's the thing. Not to say there aren't girls who hold out for guys who work in a specific profession, but the vast majority do not measure a guy by his profession. It's only one component of his personality and potential compatibility. They look at the complete person.
Those that say they want a doctor or lawyer would appear a bit shallow and no one wants to come across as shallow and materialistic (because the assumption is that a doctor/lawyer can provide a high standard of living).

Insha Jee ki eik quote yaad aa rahi hay "larkia university k pehlay saal mein farishtay doondhty hein aor akhri saal mein siraf ristay" :D.
Re: Girls, who would you marry?
to me its more about hobbies than the profession. if you are workoholic then no matter what profession you belong to you will be more about your work. i love this quote of devils wear prada “Let me know when your whole life goes up in smoke. Means it’s time for a promotion.”
but personal trainer
or performing arts is never really an option…![]()
Re: Girls, who would you marry?
Sehrysh, nice analogy. :k:
Kayz, sorry I don’t get it.
Re: Girls, who would you marry?
I find brainy men very hawt! ![]()
And no it’s not because they have better spermatozoa
(google teaches you something new everyday) or that they might be getting higher salaries.
I’d look for someone from a profession that demands bright brains. Don’t care about how much he makes since I won’t be dependant on his income anyway. Acting and modelling careers pay pretty well, if I was out to get someone rich, I’d happily marry a dumb model or a guy who’s earning bazillions from inherited family businesses.
Edumucation and intelligence are on the top of my checklist for “the man”.
Re: Girls, who would you marry?
Fitness trainer would be cool, but that would mean no chocolates or lazing about, and loads of exercise. So not this one. No to lawyer, because I am one. No to doctor, other half is almost one. So…on that note… if I could choose my fiances profession, it would either be a vet doctor, dentist or an antiques dealer because I like vintage stuff. :halo:
Re: Girls, who would you marry?
that was a joke from one of Ibn-e-Insha’s book and translates in simple english that a girl stops looking for too many options as her age grows and eventually there comes a stage when she would settle for any one she finds.

Jokes aside, rather than the profession itself, women tend to look for a masculine mirror image of themselves and vice versa.
It doesn't bother me what he does, as long as we are not in the same profession. Now that would drive me crazy. He can clean toilets for a living for all I care.

Eww....seriously???
Re: Girls, who would you marry?
The one that I have better chemistry with. I don't know that I would choose by profession. But I DON'T think I can't imagine being with a fitness trainer.
I do think a lawyer probably thinks more like I do, which could be dangerous.
So doctor it is. :D
Re: Girls, who would you marry?

Well deary, it is a job and someone has got to do it.
What is the big deal? It is far from doing harm to anyone else, it's needed to keep our society running. We've taken the notion of getting an education in order to land a cushy desk job to the extreme of discounting or even ridiculing manual labor, which requires different skills and is often just as important as are the philosophers and poets on the planet.
