I missed you by minutes on that radio show on chicago you were on, I was on the same show a little bit later, for some reason I had thought I would be on the same time and would surprise you.
the journal thing we talked about, its coming soon.
have you seen what we have done to teh blogs while u were away?
The CHICAGO stuff was taken live when I was in Vienna...and it was feezing cold. The talk was good and I enjoyed interacting with a few. Later they mailed me that there were scores of people who were lined up to ask me a few interesting questions...and I never forgot to pay rich tributes to the management of paklinks-GS in particular...
M any of my friends and relatives in Chicago sent me mails of surprise to have heard my interview and I thought they are doing great..on Chicago's Urdu Service.
I'll check the blogs....and dont worry I am not running away anywhere..and at GS I am kinda used to off-the-cuff talk by someone suddenly barging in with a fashionable style (but definitely at the behest of someone..)

yep mujahid ghazi and crew have done real good work, and the show with jibs that you were on is a good show. I missed your part because when i joined the show you had left already. But i think they have archives online, You should join in more often to give ppl first hand insight on pop culture of pak and current events, with all the doom and gloom some positivity is alway appreciated by all.

Heidelberg…40 KM off Frankfurt, is the small but beautiful town with one of the most visited hilltop recluse and picnic area in the entire Germany.
Our ALLAMA IQBAL did his Phd from Heidelberg University where they have a chair by his name now. He lived right in from of the most beautiful river ‘NECKER’ and inspired by the river.. he also wrote the famous poem; DARYA-e-NECKER KE KINARE by sitting alongside the river right in front of his house. I read that poem in class IV at the school and use to often wonder how would NECKER look like and at one point.. I had made up my mind that given the opportunity..I will visit NECKER and my wish came true just about 54 years later!!!
At the entry gate of Allama Iqbal’s Heidelberg home;
Placed at the door of Allama’s home;
The street in front of house named after Allama Iqbal in Heidelberg;
By the river NECKER exactly where Allama Iqbal use to sit and think and finally wrote the poem; This is nose front to his home;
HEIDELBERG as seen from the picnic point;
At the picnic point atop Heidelberg;
Cable Car or Tram which take you to and from the picnic point…by 5 minutes journey;
APPLES are the chief crop of Heidelberg and they are all around;
I know Farooq Uncle and Iftikhar Chattha as well. My dad’s a good friend of Farooq Uncle and my brother is a friend of his son Hassan. It’s been quite a while since I met them myself though.
POTSDAM is the capital city of the Province of Brandesburg-Germany. This beautiful city is 30 minutes train journey west of Berlin.. which culminates at Babelsburg..a small town.
POTSDAM is known for the biggest ever castle in Germany spread on miles and it takes at least 4 days to see the entire castle which once housed the king in olden times - 1600 through 1800.
POTSDAM is the place where the big powers met during the World War-II to decide about the future strategy. Churchill, Roosevelt and Stalin, it is said came to POTSDAM for the purpose.
POTSDAM also has the 2nd largest film studio in the world where some of the scenes of
** almost all the WW-II movies ** and some European films were shot.. latest being in July when TOM CRUISE came over for the shoot of the latest WW-II movie “VALKYRIE” and decided to buy a house there
to settle down when he retires. He said he has never seen such beautiful place.
Here are some pics;
OLDEST CHURCH IN POTSDAM;
With Ansar Butt a Pakistani settled in Potsdam past 20 years or more and running the most successfull Asian Cuisine Restaurant KASHMIR HAUS with two branches. He held a special dinner in my honor and invited a few Pakistanis settled in Berlin.

Sorry for the late reply Raju uncle. Although I know some Phd students in Vienna, I am not one of them. I am also working with a bank, in the IT department. We came here as a family long time ago, almost 20 years now. Later I married in Pakistan and my husband joined me here, now I have one daughter.
