Lets take a scenerio. You are married. You have a kid. A couple of years down the road for whatever reason you find out without a doubt the kid is not yours. Say for some reason you do a DNA test and the kid is not yours.

There has been cases like this scenerio, for example a Man in Kuwait experienced this, where his wife while she was married to him concieved another Man's child............... an Islamic Court ruled that the child has to be raised as part of the Family, Husband has to support the child as his own!
reasoning is that a child is blamless for what its Mother did and should not be denied a Family and a legitimate Family Name!

There are 2 possibilities after this situation (as per Indian movies)
1) You will find the real father, apnee BV ka hath uss k hath main thama ker, you will lay down on train track and will be squashed by Delhi-Express
2) You wills tart treating your kid and wife very badly ...so much that they will commit suicide leaving you a letter that will bring ganga-jamna of tears in your eyes. Letter will state something to the effect that you are a stupid guy that you never asked your wife about the kid. Kid was not actually your wifes but it was of wife's lost sister etc ...

well i dont know what answer you looking for. many people would not let cheating get away and leave the wife. by having a kid of someone else, is confirmation of wife cheating on you and you being a fool that you have to find out that late!
a polite person will just leave the wife and more macho types will try to humiliate her or kill her too.
