So I used to work in my undergrad days at a bookstore and had alot of coworkers. There was one guy who was the hardest worker there, and was the most gentle, caring and friendly person. He was actually the one that defended Islam, and even Pakistan the most when other goras would say something prejudiced. So after 2 years of leaving that place, another friend of mine told me they somehow found out he was gay (he was in a gay support rally on campus and they spotted him). Now I probably wont ever get to see him again he lives elsewhere but based on this new information, am I supposed to 'hate' him? Sorry but there was nothing about his 'lifestyle' at work that made me realize hes gay, so the point is, hes just like every other human being, and for that you need not HATE him! Live and let live, everyones Gods creation and not abomination; treat others nicely and be treated nicely.
p.s. no he never tried to get into mine or anyone else's pants, my first post here was merely a joke.
yes ... no one really said anything about not letting the gays live. they are living and living happily. if there are people who don't like them then that does not mean they are out there to kill them. to like or dislike is a personal thing. why not you glow in your own opinion and let others live with their opinion. after all, you'll be doing what you are preaching.

yeah but for muslims...islam is the religion to believe in. other religions are for those who believe in other religions.

So like first of all u need to turn on the humour switch in ur brain saieen. My initial post that talked about getting into my pants was meant to be funny. Secondly, as i have said earlier one does a zillion things that are against our religion then y does one hate a person based on them being gay and No i m not enforcing u guys to like gay men. I m just trying to figure out y does one hate a specific community even before getting to know them. There are a lot sinners out there and u cant single out gays and spare the rest and sweetie the HIV thingy zobo brought it up. Hence my reply to it.

Sayain maybe you should read more about the gay bashing prevalent in the society, what is your opinion about that. As for the last part, I didnt say let others live with an opinion of 'hate'. Hate should be condemned if its unjust hate. Hate leads to utter chaos. Trust me, if the gay bashers eradicate gays, they'll need a new target to take on the next day, and honestly I think Muslims are next, atleast for the Bible Thumpers, who blame Homosexuals and Muslims for all their problems. I can show you some literature I have collected on that.

aunty jee...first and last...i'm have no switch to turn on or off, be it humor or sarcasm.
so going by your logic of zillion sins and what not...if we started comparing sins then frankly speaking , no sin will be big enough to not to commit. certain things need no comparisons.
can you tell me who is sparing which sinner and for what sins? i'll give them an earful. of course if you are going to say bush or US army n their God-sanctioned war then sadly there i won't be able to do anything because they are much bigger and stronger than gays. other than that everything else i think i can manage.
and i respect other religions too. but that does not mean i should start believing in them as well.
where in my post does it say i believe in them too? Just because i dont think theres anything wrong with people being gay doesnt mean ive abandoned islam.
Yeah, I have nothing against them, their sexuality is their problem not mine. All I know is if I have a gay parents in my class, I have to treat that parent same as I would to my straight parents. If I have a gay kid in my class, I will give that kid best instructions like I would to any other kid. If my gay friend(s) need help, I would be helping them like I would to any of my straight friends. When gay people are treating me with respect, then that is what they should get too.

accepting something means you are alright with it. if i find the lifestyle repuslively contrary to my beliefs why should i accept it? there is a difference between contrary and different. gay is not different to me it is something that i believe is immoral, as immoral as rape. would i befriend someone who was a vocal rapist? no. can i absolutely guarantee that anyone i befriend doesnt have any skeletons in the closet ? no i cant. as for what you said sara hate the sin not the sinner ,there is another one a man in known by the company he keeps. distancing yourself from some one is not blind hatred it is a matter of principles.

and music maniac for some people religion plays a strong part in lifestyle, you started a thread with "i cannot understand why people are averse to the idea" question, now when you ask a question like that you should be able to deal with the reasoning or you should've said i am starting a thread for gay pride and donot want to hear from anyone else.

I know eh..I had an argument about this with a few guys. And it seems they all hate GAY GUYS... because they think that gay guys will want them(But thats their khushfehmi).
gay people say that that is the way they are born
so if homosexuality is genetic then does it not mean that it is accepted by god.

^ they say but it hasnt been scientifically proven. having an impulse or instinct cannot be justified for explaining behaviour. other wise rape,incest,murder would not be crime for hey they are nature's blessings.
