Faisal, that could be true, who knows. The back lash from media will be unbearable if India loses the series.

The win in 4th ODI is not less than winning the whole series for these reasons.

1. India insisted to play in Ahmedabad where Pakistan refused due to the masacre and local BJP’s policies against minorities, that are also condemmned by Int’l community. I hate to see politics attached to the game, but thats India who brought itself to shame.
2. Narinder Modi was in the stadium.
3. Crowd’s behaviour.
4. Pakistan levelled the series after losing first two matches.
5. Pakistan broke the trend by batting second and winning the match.

What a day and great timing!

alhamdullah - In pakistan such gestures for poor have worked miracles and there are no “Starving” poor any more, Poor & Middle class yes but no ‘Starving’ population.

However INzi did buy Gifts for Indian team Players from his personal funds when India was playing in his home town ‘Multan’ Pakistan

PCB Takes Blame for Slow Over-Rate

(Reuters) In a bold move, The Pakistan Cricket Board has decided to take the blame for India’s slow over-rate in the fourth ODI played between the two countires in Ahmedabad yesterday. PCB’s CEO, Shehryar Khan acknowledged that it was indeed Pakistani batsmen who took extra time to get ready for deliveries, asked for too many refreshments and fresh pair of gloves.

ICC’s Ehsan Mani being of Pakistani origin is said to have listened to the appeal very carefully. He will be making an announcement on the matter shortly.

Ganguly appeals against six-match ban

Sourav Ganguly, the Indian captain, has appealed against the six-match ban imposed on him by the International Cricket Council for India’s slow over rates in the current one-day series against Pakistan. A media release confirmed that the ICC had received formal notice of the appeal late afternoon London time.

**This means that Ganguly is eligible to play India’s fifth one-dayer against Pakistan at Kanpur on April 15. ** :bhangra:Under the code of conduct the ICC will appoint a commissioner to adjudicate the appeal within 48 hours. After this commissioner is appointed, and hears from the relevant parties (including Chris Broad, the match referee who imposed the ban) he has seven days to reach his verdict. The appeals commissioner has the power to increase or decrease the penalty as he sees fit.

The ICC has not yet announced who the commissioner will be, but the person will be drawn from the following list: Michael Beloff QC, Chairman of the ICC Code of Conduct Commission, Richie Benaud, Sir Oliver Popplewell, Tim Castle, Gamini Marapana, Justice Albie Sachs, Justice Anthony Lucky, Clive Barnes.

This will be the second time Ganguly has come before an appeals commissioner. The last time around Tim Castle adjudicated when Clive Lloyd, the match referee, handed Ganguly a two-Test ban in November after India failed to bowl their overs in time in the Platinum Jubilee one-dayer against Pakistan at Kolkata. On that occasion Castle set aside the ban.

It's gonna be funny if Ganguly plays the 5th odi and hits a century! Don't nobody feel sorry for him - they're all big boys and if he has it in him, he'll get back. We'll miss his captancy some but who knows? The next guy might be better.

It's bit overboard for mushy to give Inzy all that money and the rest of the gang nothing. did afridi get anything at all? otherwise shivangi is gonna be back in the closet again, this time sulking

so you guys should ask film industry to stop paying your actors in millions, stop receiving awards in millions, your cricketers should be paid just enough to eat enough food so that rest of the money can be sent /used to feed 800-900 million starving in India !

Oh thats a huge number..
Even with conservative estimate the poor in India is about 200 million.. still large.. but 800 to 900 M is little bit too much.
and by the way.. the indian film industry is cutting down its budget by cutting down on the cloaths the women wear..

India’s banned cricket captain Sourav Ganguly will not be part of the Indian squad for Friday’s One-day International in Kanpur even though the ICC permitted him to play pending an appeal against the suspension, Board of Control for Cricket in India secretary S K Nair said on Thursday.

“There will be no change in the team already selected, with Rahul Dravid as captain, for the Kanpur ODI as there is less than 24 hours for the match to start,” Nair said in a statement from Thiruvananthapuram.

“Since less than 24 hours remains for the start of the Kanpur match, the Board felt that it was extremely important for the players to concentrate and focus on the match, so that they could bring out the best performance. In view of this, the Board has decided to continue with the selected team for the Kanpur match,” the statement added.

Nair said the position has been explained to Ganguly and he appreciated the Board’s decision.
