(Reuters) In a bold move, The Pakistan Cricket Board has decided to take the blame for India’s slow over-rate in the fourth ODI played between the two countires in Ahmedabad yesterday. PCB’s CEO, Shehryar Khan acknowledged that it was indeed Pakistani batsmen who took extra time to get ready for deliveries, asked for too many refreshments and fresh pair of gloves.

ICC’s Ehsan Mani being of Pakistani origin is said to have listened to the appeal very carefully. He will be making an announcement on the matter shortly.

I remember that when India was visiting Pakistan, Inzi was in similar trouble where he was warned for slow over-rate, and could have been suspended for a second offence. You could actually see Pak fielders running between overs and bowlers getting ready quickly, to make sure their captain doesn't get into any more trouble with the referee.

Here, we see that Ganguly was already warned, and still there was no urgency shown by his Indian team-mates to move quickly on the field, and save their skipper from possible suspension. Not just that, but bowlers like Tendu were taking their sweet time before each ball to ensure all nine fielders are in exactly the right place.

This may sound like a bad conspiracy theory, but if you consider that Ganguly was personally out-of-form, and for all intents and purposes the test series was deemed a victory for Pakistan. This may just be Ganguly hedging his bets, as the most honorable way (questionable, ofcourse!) to step aside for a limited time, and at the same time, spared the indignity of a tied (or horror of horros, a lost) series against (on-paper) a weaker Pakistan team. He just may have told his team-mates to play in their regular manner and not worry about over-rate.

Faisal, that could be true, who knows. The back lash from media will be unbearable if India loses the series.

Even more ridiculous is Musharraf giving 1 Million Rs. to Inzamam. Pakistan has leveled the series. They have not won it yet. An immature celebration.

The win in 4th ODI is not less than winning the whole series for these reasons.

1. India insisted to play in Ahmedabad where Pakistan refused due to the masacre and local BJP’s policies against minorities, that are also condemmned by Int’l community. I hate to see politics attached to the game, but thats India who brought itself to shame.
2. Narinder Modi was in the stadium.
3. Crowd’s behaviour.
4. Pakistan levelled the series after losing first two matches.
5. Pakistan broke the trend by batting second and winning the match.

What a day and great timing!

Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf today announced an award of Rupees one million for captain Inzamam-ul-Haq for leading the team to victory in the fourth one-day international cricket match against India in Ahmedabad.

The state run Pakistan Television reported that Musharraf spoke to Inzamamam, coach Bob Woolmer and the team manager Salim Altaf and congratulated the team.

He also praised Inzamam for his all-round contribution.

Pakistan Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz also complimented the captain and the team members for winning today’s match and levelling the six-match series 2-2.

Man of the match Inzamam made a gutsy unbeaten 60 to help Pakistan to a thrilling last ball win against India at the Motera Stadium on Tuesday.

so you guys should ask film industry to stop paying your actors in millions, stop receiving awards in millions, your cricketers should be paid just enough to eat enough food so that rest of the money can be sent /used to feed 800-900 million starving in India !
