Well, no reason she should be allowed to get award from outside the country. Again its no body's business but Pakistan and its citizens to solve the problem.

Kashmir gets raped every mintue that issue became UN issue long time ago. Then why cant women of pakistan get help from outside to stop the rape in pakistan. Obviosuly men in paksitan have lost their freakin "mardangi" they will try every way possible to stop her. I feel after getting award giving tons of interviews she should come back and be an example which she already is for pakistani women. That its okay to speak.

Although I excuse her for this, being a simple woman from the country side, the fact is she is going to a country that threatened Pakistan with dire consequences post-911. I think in the grand scheme of things, it may not have been the best place to go for “help”…and the timing, with the earthquake and all…is not too great…but as I said, she has class and at least is turning this trip into a relief mission…

Before I couldn’t but now I can suffice that there is truth to allegations about treatment of women in east pakistan in 1971 as well (as these same village paindoos also get hired in army for being aryan and martial race whatnot).

He means that family conflicts should remain in-family, i.e., outside ppl shouldn’t know about wha’ts going on, and he’s right, I wudn’t want strangers knowing about the mistakes we’ve made. However, he’s trying to draw a parallel as if Pakistan is one big family, so if something happens in Pakistan, it stays in Pakistan. However, you cant apply family politics in the international world. Liek it or not, Pakistan is not just some hidden country that only good great things go on it has it’s problems too and instead of fixing them, we just go and say “oh well u guys r messed up too.” :yukh:

Not really, people are just saying what’s the use of this when all it translates to is negative publicity for an already beleaguered nation…now more so than ever.
Needless to say, I have NO idea how the outside world is going to help Pakistan with it’s problem with feudal gang rapists…or with any other problem…
