He was sincere friend of Bhutto and Pakistan. He was the one who gave money for buying french reprocessing plant during Bhutto’s tennure, which ultimately lead to making of nuclear device. SRINAGAR: A prominent pro-independence leader in Indian Kashmir on Saturday condemned the killing of Moammar Qadhafi, saying the fallen Libyan dictator had been a “friend” and supporter of Kashmiris.**
“In his death, the people of Kashmir have lost their friend,” Yasin Malik, chairman of the Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), said in a statement.
A marathon United Nations diatribe by Qadhafi in September 2009 annoyed India but won him an enthusiastic fan base in Indian-administered Kashmir.
Qadhafi berated Western powers for an hour and 35 minutes from the General Assembly podium in a speech covering issues as diverse as John F. Kennedy’s assassination, swine flu and his support for Kashmiri independence.
“Kashmir should be an independent state, not Indian, not Pakistani. We should end this conflict,” Qadhafi told the UN assembly.
His remarks were splashed across the front pages of Kashmir’s leading dailies, as the region’s separatist leaders applauded.
Malik’s JKLF wants to break Kashmir away from both India and Pakistan, which each hold part of the region but claim it in full, and make it an independent state.
“Although he was a dictator, he was a brave human being. He raised his voice in the UN and other international forums for the freedom and independence of Kashmir,” Malik said.
Malik condemned the “inhuman custodial killing” on Thursday of the Libyan dictator.
“Whether it is Qadhafi or anyone else, custodial killing of a human being is an act of terrorism and if world community approves or glamorises such acts, real peace in the world would be a far-fetched dream,” he said.
“Such acts would only promote hatred, enmity and instability in the world.”

**Sir: Colonel Gaddafi was alive when he was captured and was later killed brutally by the US and NATO-sponsored forces. He was a personal friend of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and like him he also refused to leave the country and preferred to die on his own soil.
It is very unfortunate that our younger generations do not know what he did for Pakistan, the Islamic, Arab and African world to keep them united. For the cause of Palestine, his services cannot be neglected. He lent tremendous financial support to Pakistan for making the first Islamic atom bomb. It is also shameful to learn that some people are now demanding that the name of Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore be changed.
The US as well as NATO had no right under any circumstances to violate the sovereignty of another country. The revolt was sponsored by them and till Gaddafi’s last day, NATO aircraft bombarded the country. If the US and NATO are allowed the use of force to overrun the political system of any country, there would be turmoil in the whole world. On the day of the death of Gaddafi, there was another news item on Pakistani TV channels quoting the US authorities as saying that they would now provide arms to opponent groups in the Arab world.
If the US and NATO are such well wishers of the Islamic countries, why are they not taking any similar action against Israel, which has been occupying Arab territories since 1967 and refuses to vacate or accept UN resolutions?
I am strongly disappointed by the attitude of the PPP government in Pakistan, who are fully aware of what Colonel Gaddafi did for Pakistan, for the release of their late leader Zulfikar Ali Bhutto (ZAB) and also those PPP leaders who were persecuted during the regime of former military dictator General Ziaul Haq and had fled to Libya. What selfishness the present PPP government has shown in its lack of courage to offer even two words of acknowledgement for this great leader.

The people of Benghazi were asking for help when Gaddafi unleashed his wrath on whoever was fighting against him. During the revolution in Egypt against Hosni Mubarak, the people made it clear they don't want any outside help or assistance. In Libya, that was not the case. You don't need to believe the western media if you have issues with them. Plenty of Libyans themselves uploaded their own videos and are speaking up as to what Gaddafi did to them.
Don't make someone a martyr just because he is deceased. He was having the women of his own country raped in retaliation for the uprising. The man was sick.

I didn't know musharraf sent plane loads of sealed nuclear material to the US. Unlike pakistani police, US does its work so when they came for AQ Khan, musharraf had very little to counter back.
