Is it mare speculation or truth? Please link what you are saying. According to Bush, he named three countries as axis of evils Libya, Iran and North Korea. He was black listed by Sam during Reagan's time. I don't understand why he would say something which was against him and his country.

There may have been many wrongdoings committed by Gaddafi’s regime but still he was never tried or convicted by a court
The rebel forces and Nato claim that their main aim was to provide democracy and a free Libya. Yet all we saw the other day was mob justice and custodial killing of a dictator. Whatever happened to the West’s notion of the presumption of innocence and the rule of law. Those who incessantly preach democracy, rule of law and human rights must also practise them themselves
The Libyan authorities should not treat Gaddafi’s dead body as some kind of trophy or souvenir. Whatever his crimes, he was a human-being and they should treat his body with respect and hand it over to the family as quickly as possible for an appropriate funeral. I absolutely do not agree with the way they have laid out the bodies of Gaddafi and his son in a market cold store for people to view. This is wicked and quite unnecessary tamasha IMO. They must act quickly to end this ghoulish spectacle

I think he chose to die in this way. He had ample opportunities to negotiate and leave or surrender to NATO or a third party. He could escape to an african state, many were prepared to give him asylum but instead, he wanted to take down as many as he could with him, including his own kids.

Mob justice can never be condoned but we must also remember that thousand upon thousand of his opponents were never given any justice in court. Even to the end he was calling them rats and cockroaches. Many of them who arrested him had lost their loved ones at his hands in Misrata and emotions were running high. he had every chance to leave the country and spare the agony but he chose to take many more innocents lives before he was finally killed. Personally I would have loved to seen him in a court and justice served to him. He was a wicked wicked man.

**No matter how bad the person he was, putting up the fatwa like this and deciding his burial in non-islamic way is just insane. I think these ppl are just on the extreme side whether its pro-ghaddafi or these revolutionary guards. i.e. No mercy for opponent.

But there are no. of regimes which killed their own people or supported such killings.while slobodan milosovich was tried in international court ,saddam was left at mercy of shias and gaddafi was killed by mob.those who fought against him learnt to fight due to his policy of conscription.why they were afraid to try him in court of law?
i think there was not a single commander or leader in sirte to save gaddafi from justice of mob.now they are going to bury him at secret location if he was hated by everybody then why are they afraid to bury in a common cemetery.Even civilized country like japan have yasukuni shrine.he should be burried in proper manners it is in accordance with teaching of beloved prophet muhammad(peace be upon him).every regime is harsh on its own citizens in an open or covert way.

Where does it say that he was whistle blower? In fact it was AQ Khan who revealed to the world on TV with a gun on his head by Musharraf.

wikipedia is not very accurate , you can edit it with some genuine looking citations , in matters of clandestine , secret deals and operations only god knows the truth, because liars, smugglars and criminals are involved in such matters and no body reveals the truth .

I agree that Wikipedia is not an "authentic" source but it did prove what I knew how things unfolded, I was trying to find the actual statements but since Qadhafi died recently so all 'google' searches listed in 1000s of articles about his death and Libya 'revolution'.

Ghaddafi was not good person many evidences of him killing his own people and torturing people. His death was behind closed doors inside ambulance who killed him and why?
It is possible the some rebel just saw opportunity and killed him or could also be possibility foreign hand involved who didn't want him to reveal some secrets we will never know because ghaddafi now dead.
