if true, it will be hugely influential in bringing peace to that country. The wretched dictator will have his come uppance.
Libyan forces ‘capture Gaddafi’
The BBC’s Caroline Hawley in Tripoli: “We’ve heard quite a lot of celebratory gunfire” (Still shoto shows NTC troops celebrating the capture of Sirte)

Commanders for Libya's transitional authorities say they have captured ousted leader Col Muammar Gaddafi.
The reports came after transitional forces claimed control of Sirte, Col Gaddafi's birthplace, following weeks of fierce fighting.
Col Gaddafi is said to be wounded. There is no independent confirmation of the reports.
The colonel was toppled in August after 42 years in power. The International Criminal Court is seeking his arrest.
"He's captured. He's wounded in both legs," National Transitional Council (NTC) official Abdel Majid told Reuters news agency.
"He's been taken away by ambulance."
AFP news agency quoted another NTC official, Mohamed Leith, as saying that Col Gaddafi had been captured in Sirte and was "seriously wounded" but still breathing.
A soldier who says he captured Muammar Gaddafi tod the BBC the colonel had shouted: "Don't shoot!"
The BBC's Caroline Hawley in Tripoli says although the capture is unconfirmed, ships and cars have been sounding their horns in the capital and guns are being fired in celebration.
They’re saying that he’s died from his wounds … And did Muammar have plastic surgery recently? I ask 'cos the person they caught minus the blood looked like Gaddafi with a heavy facial surgery … either he wanted to look younger before he got caught or perhaps it is someone else …
Damn they should have given the man a fair trial but I suppose it is as Allah wills it to be. We can only speculate, but I know he was niether good nor evil. I shall pray for the departed soul and may Allah have mercy on him.

He was weird though ... He used to recite Surah Ikhlas without saying "Qul" in the beginning ...
Yaar I do not doubt he was completely out of his head… I mean he kept an elite bodyguard of Amazons…
But whatever he did in life he has passed. Sometimes as Muslims even if someone as horrible as George Bush was to choke to death on another Pretzel We should still bear in mind that he is going to the world beyond. We too must go there sometime, so I always like to think that we should show them some slack perhaps someday after us someone will cut as a fair slice too…
Okay now your all gona say I’m wierd so lets just hit the relax button and chill.
killed ! with last words "don't shoot me" . as it is said "what you will sow ,so shall you reap " .with bare and empty hands he is gone. body lying on the road .
Bloody video of him alive after being captured. Reportedly died (killed?) shortly afterwards. Seems like he met mob justice rather than rule of law which is unfortunate. Still a great day for Libya.
There was legitimate ruler in a country, ruling for last 40+ years, yes bit weird but was there...
Then there was some uprising against him, which he initially defeated, later comes in Western world who have their vested interest in the Country, they armed the rebels, they supported them with AIR-POWER they provided them with NAVAL-POWER and they guided them to takeover the capital and overthrow the govt. later kill the ruler of the country...
The lessons learned are, it is perfectly OK to support an armed movement against the legitimate govts by all means... rather it is OK to provide military support if the rebels are not powerful enough to win the war...
It is perfectly OK to interfere in the internal matter of any country....
now how many billions of trillions Libya had to pay to western forces for the bombing the Libyans ( some says 1000s of civilians have been killed in this bombings) and how much are they going to pay for rebuilding Libya... country which have loads of oil and in fact is top producer (with 4 million barrel/day) of North Africa...

Are the above conclusions right one???
Was he legitimate? Enlighten us as to which elections he won.
Ask the people of Libya how they feel after 40 years of tyranny and thousands murdered and killed by the legitimate ruler.
I am really disturbed at the photo that was up on the main screen of BBC Newsworld. The pics are so graphic. I admire the fact that he wanted a united Muslim/Arab world .... but he went about it all wrong. This is what happens when your ego gets out of control.

He was there for 40 years and his rule on Libya was accepted by almost all the countries in the world including the world bodies such as UNO, who have the representative of Libyan Govt led by Qadhafi, more over, the Embassy of Libya in US does represent the country of LIbya which until March was ruled by Qadhafi...
No one i say no one have right interfere in the affairs of other country...as i stated in my reply, if other countries are allowed to do that, then Pakistan have full right to support Kashmiri freedom fighter by all means, which include the arms and army to fight...this give right to China to support by all means the Maoist movement and armed rebellion through out the world and no one can say that they are doing it wrong..after all west practices it...
Its ridiculous to think this man thought he was a prophet. I personally was for a trial but he was fighting till the end. But im not libyan so my knowledge is limited. Ill say this but - i see a huge power vacuum coming.
Hanibal, when the situation gets as bad as it did in Libya with the majority NTC folks getting overpowered by Gadaffi's army, and there is a significant consensus among other countries, i think IT IS OKAY to interfere in that country.
