Funny rishta stories!!!

Re: Funny rishta stories!!!

^ wow! some ppl have no ghairat! saaf saaf mouN pei keh diya that we want your girl so that our son has a free ticket to a bahar ka mulk!

Re: Funny rishta stories!!!

Alright this one isnt really funny. A friend of mine was engaged to this girl. He has american gc while the girl lived in karachi. While it was an arranged setup they both had no objections to each other.

The girl and parents were visiting in the US and the shadi plans had almost been finalized. Soon after that the girl's parents insisted that the girl won't go back to Pakistan now and that my friend should start the sponsorship process. That made him feel a bit uneasy at being rushed like this. Its common sense that since they have agreed to get married, it only follows naturally that they will get the sponsorship process going in due time. But the girl's parents seemed to be in quite a hurry and remained adamant that she wont go back to pakistan.

So anyway they still decided to go ahead. Few days later my friend registered for some sort of papers from city hall that were sort of a pre req before having an actual marriage. The girl's parents thought that they were actual marriage papers and that the guy and girl had signed the papers in a court. Later that day or a day later the girl's parents were on the phone with my friend's parents and the topic of sponsorship came up again, at which the girl's parents said that the guy and girl are married now and it should now be their decision! (implying that the guy's parents should not interfere now). Little did they know that there was no such document signed in court. So that it seemed was the final nail in the coffin and after this my friend and his family decided to finish it off. :-/

Re: Funny rishta stories!!!

^ i dun think i understand what u r tryin 2 say...if the girl's parents asked for sponership at first than y did later on they changed?!?

Also, i think being girl's parents its very normal 2 feel the need 2 get things done quickly esp if its a long distance marriage as many times guys run away after having engagements n end up having affairs abroad and than the girls family is very eaisly told that the engagement is off.

Re: Funny rishta stories!!!

1 They were trying to rush things without giving any explanation whatsoever, which itself raises many flags. Especially if they're rushing something which would have happened in due time anyway.

2 Once they 'thought' that my friend and the girl have signed the papers in court, they had the audacity to tell my friend's parents to stay out of this as this is between the guy and girl now. Imagine your husband's parents telling your parents to stay out of your and your husband's business for whatever reason. Imagine that happening a day after the marriage.

Re: Funny rishta stories!!!

A lady phoned once, sis picked it up, the lady asked who she was speaking to and then started asking all sorts of questions. My sister asked who she was speaking to...and the lady replied '.....meh aunty ajnabi bol rahi huN. wheres your mum?' mum just came in asks whose one the phone and my annoyed sis goes it some lady calling herself Aunty ajnabi. We found it quite funny at them time, and the name stuck for good. Till this day we only know her as aunty ajnabi.

Why do you keep on saying poor guy poor guy. I mean it may be a joke to you, but not for others. Whatever the setup was at that time, those people came in all decency and you make fun them in front of a third person. I am seriously offended. Even though I have no relation with that guy who came for rishta, but I am disappointed. I would not want to take any rishta to your place after reading this.

And more importantly, it proved my point yet again: Education doesn’t make you civilized.

I have just joined recently, but man oh man. Some of you guys are over the top of your heads. You people have tens of flaws in your own characters and you come here ridicule other people. Every single problem here can be fixed if you fix your own self first.

Re: Funny rishta stories!!!

I have a couple of aunts. one of them lives in the UK and the other one lives in Pakistan. the one in pakistan is very poor. she has a son and he is good for nothing. anyway my Aunt wanted her sister's (my other aunt in UK) daughter for her son. My UK aunt kept refusing for whatever reason. I think one of the main reasons was that the girl was educated and the guy only done his tenth grade.
anyway my aunt in UK kept refusing this proposal. so one day my cousin called her and demanded to ask why she was not giving him the rishta. this made my aunt angry and she replied " look my daughter does not want to marry you. but if you want to marry me, I Will be glad to do so". that was a funny answer.

Re: Funny rishta stories!!!

I have a funny pathetic story. So when I was 12, YES 12, my youngest chachi's mother came to Canada to stay with her (she was having her first baby, so her mom came to be with her). My chachi is my dads cousin from my dada's side. Anyway, long story short, one day my parents were at my chachas house, and my chachi's mom called my mom into the bedroom, and she was like "I want to talk to you about something important". So she told my mom, I really like your daughter, she is such a good girl, I want her to marry my son (her son was 25 at that time, and I was 12!!!!!!!). My mom said to her, my daughter is only 12 years old right now, we are not intersted in getting her married right now. So my chachi's mom says to her, "oh, we will just do the baath paki right now, but dont tell her anything, and then when she turns 18, you can tell her that she is engaged to my son, and she can sponser him to come to Canada". My parents were like, NO WAY!

Crazy lady didnt want me, she wanted my passport!!!!!

Granted that a 12-year-old would neither have the maturity...the tolerance...nor the stomach to accept .....let alone hear such news. But that is just so MESSED UP to tell ANOTHER MOTHER to make decide her daughter's fate...and not even tell her about it until years later. That just shows the woman doesn't care about the girl. She didn't even consider the girl's feelings/opinions....and was more interested in controlling her future....for her son's gain.

"Then she can sponsor her to Canada"??? What is WRONG with people? Don't they at least have the sense to postpone making the request? It just makes one sound so "fake" and "insincere" when you spring the sponsoring question so quickly. Pathetic indeed.

Re: Funny rishta stories!!!

a 12 year old? to marry? Freakin pedos.

Re: Funny rishta stories!!!

Actuall regarding 12 year olds, I have another story to tell. An aunty in my town has been looking for a rishta for her 26 year old son. Since he is a doctor, she is going all out looking for a vey pretty girl. At one party she came accross the daughter of a family frien of ours who is 12 years old, guarnteed the child is tall, but no where does she look of marrigiable age. The said aunty liked her immediately and asked the girl's aunt about her. When told she was just 12, she said oh, I guess he mom won't want to marry her now, but I can wait!!!!! ??? And all this in the United Sates and the aunty herself was a doctor in Pakistan.
