So how do you eat them ..
see I understand Arab food choices ..
they have to eat every part of animals cause of shortage of food supplies as you are living in desert.
SO how do you cook guts .. and how do you eat them , with roti ? chawal ? or with Hammus
Re: Fried insects anyone ? (avoid this thread if you are about to eat or just eaten)
americans are fond of guts too....
we boil them (chicken or turkey) all day long with onions and celery and some spices (salt, pepper, rosemary, thyme, parsely, sage, garlic) and reduce it. Then skim off all the parts and pieces and use the reduced broth as the start of the best gravy you could imagine.

Re: Fried insects anyone ? (avoid this thread if you are about to eat or just eaten)
I grew up in West Africa. Termites were considered a delicacy. Fried and lightly salted. Also, snake fillets and steaks were common. In fact, like when you are traveling in India/Pakistan...you know how village folk sell tarbooz on the roadsides...in Africa, it would be dead snakes on sticks!

man dont take arabs as foodless hungry ppl
they r more advanced than any other nation
and alhamdullillah we have plenty of things to eat here
but still we dont let go of our roots
as far as gut cooking is concerned it is cleaned properly from inside as u know it is like a pipe so they fix it on the mouth of tap and run the tap so everything from inside will be washed out and then they fill the guts with cooked rice and fry them
they r really good trust me

No no kali .. I was not questioning their eating choices .. just thinking ..when arabs use to travel in caravans through long deserts, thay had to ration their food supplies and eat it wisely .. that is what I was thinking
so you prepare guts, pretty much like sausage , except the filling part which is not rice .. in sausages
