Re: France bans Muslim prayers on streets in Paris
^@ Hareem- That's true! and these are the same people that don't approve of a secular system in Europe. :p And I said already, nudity isn't allowed for a reason, it's offensive. I can understand why someone praying in street would offend a group of people. It gets in the way, catches attention, unwanted stares. This is why i compared to nudity, which is ILLEGAL!
Re: France bans Muslim prayers on streets in Paris
You guys are just out of it. Swiss courts allowed Nudity and Nude hiking a few years ago. Austria is not so far behind on that sentiment.
Re: France bans Muslim prayers on streets in Paris
LOL! Even if it’s allowed, they can only be naked in certain areas. They can’t walk around naked in all public places. So would you be okay if praying is allowed on certain streets but not all of them? :konfused:
Re: France bans Muslim prayers on streets in Paris
damn it! I was so planning to go to the Alps. ![]()
Re: France bans Muslim prayers on streets in Paris
Read the BBC article I linked. Swiss federal laws do not find nudity to be legal.

You understand this but you do not understand why muslim countries have banned drinking, obscenity etc and you want it legalised because hey it isn't harming anyone is it. It is offensive to the Islamic society hence it is banned, you have answered your questions yourself.
I hope IceSoul is reading this. When you asked me why I have a problem with a pub opening up in Makkah.. there you go, its offensive to me and most other muslims and therefore it is a valid reason for us to oppose it. Now you can't tell me it isn't a valid reason as this very secular country actually agrees with me.

But Theorist is saying people who are finding the prayer in street offensive aren't even secularist or secularism supporter.

And? I guess even if it's against the law, the nudists must have convinced the local authorities. I don't know I am not aware of their federal system. However, given the tempreture of the Alps, I highly doubt the traffic is heavy there and you have to be out of your mind to hike naked up there. Again, are you out of your mind to pray in streets? I don't think so..

LMAO! and you think these same idiots that find praying offensive are the avid supporters of secularism? They don't even want you there! It's not the secularist type that find these things offensive. It's the very type that do not want your influence in their country. They are really actually very much like yourself!

Yes. Snow doesn’t melt does it. ![]()

^Lame comeback..
Re: France bans Muslim prayers on streets in Paris
You said you see it that way . People of Paris are not saying that they see it that way , their government has given different reasons not the ones you are saying here:
I will stay offended till you edit above quoted post.

I will see no problem with that . During certain hours of the day in US Two way traffic becomes one way on certain streets . Also on certain roads and freeway exits you are allowed to drive on the shoulder of the road during certain hours , but you will get ticketed if you do that outside of those hours.
But I see one problem with this approach of allowing prayers on certain streets during certain hours that we the Muslims will stop working on the plans of building new Masajids and expanding the existing ones.

Not everyone in Paris is as liberal as you'd like them to be. The problem here is people think just because a country is secular, it must allow everyone to do everything. It is not true. Also not everyone supports their government and laws. It's the same conservative/republican type of people who find praying in streets and wearing abaya as offensive actions. Won't you say it's similar to GS members not wanting a secular system implemented in Pakistan.
Respect the laws of the country you are living in. At least you are allowed there but don't expect everyone to be okay with everything you do because not even all of them support their own government.
I don't understand what offended you so much...but if you don't care to explain, you can stay offended.

So I'm an idiot and I don't even want non-muslims around me.

Comeback? Its fact. Seriously nude hiking occurs all year round. And most parts of the alps from Cran Montana to Grindlewald have no snow in the summer.
