If your looking for a bridal lengha, then in Southall I'd suggest Santoshi on South Road, or Sequinze on the broadway those are the only place in Southall I thought had half decent stuff. Forget Wembley that was a waste of time.
However my absolute favourite shop, and where I'm most likley going to order my outfit from is Raishma on Green St. She offers a completly bespoke service at similar prices to the shops mentioned above (and others in the south east). Her designs are beautiful, and pakistani, and you can completley choose the colour/fabric and kaam you want and she'll create your dream outfit.
If anyone has to order an outfit from the UK, I'd recommend Raishma in a heartbeat.

Quite right...there aren't many shops that stock pakistani designs...! Not any that I know of in Southall anyway!

Some amazing lehngas at Khoobsurat, Daminis (expensive), sometimes Payals and a couple more shops towards where Khoobsurat is.. can't remember the names. The rest of the shops have trash from india or bangladesh which was in fashion 15 years ago. I can bet you'll be able to find a nice lehnga on Green Street, London if you can't order from Pak.

I have been EVERYWHERE in the UK looking for a shadi dress. You will not find a Pakistani style dress anywhere so i ended up getting mine from Pakistan.
But within the UK the best place to shop is Southall, they have Sequenze which have really beautiful clothes and try Mongas.
I got my mangni dress and registry dress are from Mongas. Mongas are very reasonable and have some very pretty designs, they also do made to measure. But you must check exactly what you order and give plenty of time as sometimes they get orders wrong (Avoid a lady called Mansha however sweet she is as she messed up my mangni dress).
Other than that green st etc are just tacky, i didnt like anything there and it’s just such a depressing place.
The only decent shop in Wembley is Sonas but see their website to see if you like their stuff before you go. SONAS HAUTE COUTURE - BRIDAL OUTFITS, SAREES, LENGHAS

I think I posted earlier and said Raishma on Green St WILL have pakistani designs, and for the same price as say sequinze you'll get a completley bespoke outfit.

I am planning to visit UK, to see the market for my upcoming wedding inshaAllah...I will have maximum a week to see the market, can you suggest the "best" shops to visit? I need to see bridal lehngas and "after-wedding-fancy-wear"

ok!! u have alum rock rd, ladypool rd, stratford rd, and soho rd in birmingham, belgrave rd in leicester, white abbey rd in bradford also bombay stores in bradford has like everythin from clothes, jewellery shoes loose material everytin under that one roof includin mens sherwanis....you have, southall and manchester! dunno wat the famous rds r called in southall and manchester..

I would recommend London for Bridal wear, try The Broadway, Southall. I have been to Birmingham, they have nice things there too but is pricey. For after wedding clothes, the small bazaar type places in Southall have really nice stuff at reasonable prices. Green Street in London is good too, that's in Upton Park.

Yeah The Broadway in Southall has variety of shops for bridal wear...especially shops like Mongas, Sequinze, Omega and Traditions.
There are shops in Wembley that you could check out too.

Dear Guppies.
My freind is going to get married very soon.
And she wanted to do some gold shopping in london.
Does anyone know good reliable jewellers in london,
one that carries good designs, and not the typical styles.
Other than that, does anyone know again a good reliable and talented jeweller who could replicate someones bridals jewellery gold set ?
As she might want to get a set replicated for her personal use aswell.
And some good textile shop names would be also be helpful,
i know theres the regular green street southall etc, but when i went there i couldnt seem to find anything tasteful :S
expect bareeze !
