Re: Wedding shopping in Manchester
sidrah im just learing the ropes from my school. i just do semi formals and tried our hand at formals at the moment. bridal for u swill be next semester Inshallah but since i go to alot of adday walas and will be interning at a designer in a few months whoever takes me that is so lets see
sidrah a bridal gharara can easily be made from pakistan in a few weeks to a few months. it can be customized to ur needs. the material ure interested in , the color combo u prefer or what suits u , the color of kaam u like, the cut infact everything and anything. so it basically depends also on who u order to and whats ur budget
if u want to knwo i know of a few designers who can do it for u :)
have u ordered the outfit yet? the wedding is in march?
**Hi gals, **
I was hoping whether you geniuses could help me in telling me whether there are any wedding shops where I could get my lengha from. Ive been Southall, Green street, Birmingham and I know whats available but never been Manchester.

Hi shopper
Try birmingham Hut ki plases, there are few new ones in hall green , different and stunning pieces. I bought a outstanding piece from the zfs collections it is deep red with green gems.
enjoy the shopping
Try Sana's she's based somewhere in Manchester, i saw her stuff at the bridal show in Birmingham and it looked really nice, and she advertises in the bridal magazines. Don't bother going to Bradford for your shopping, its a dump. Try Lesta or London.
nobody in their right mind would come up north for their wedding shopping.
Wedding shopping London
i will be getting married soon and seems like i won't be able to go to Pakistan for the shopping. I will have to get everything from London since that's where i am getting married. Can you guys let me know how is the shopping experience like in London, are their lenghas from Pakistan and are they nice as well.
I want to know wether i will be able to get nice stuff from London or not please people i need you're feedback
hmmm, i dont know if many of the shops in london are selling pakistani designs. i think they follow indian fashions mostly....but i guess its each shop to their own. you wont know till you ask them! lol
are you close to london? why not go into southall and have a look around?
Jaan which is upstairs of shop Punjab Textiles (in Southall) has really nice wedding outfits. They can also order different colours in from India/Pakistan (not sure which) if you have enough time.

Leeds Road
Re: Wedding shopping Manchester/London
Hey Samina,
We just went wedding shopping for my sister's wedding... I was NOT impressed with Bradford at all! Avoid as it will be a waste of journey for bridal wear...the only good shop there was Ranis (very overpriced but absolutely amazing and original outfits) which was on White Abbey road.
Birmingham had a good selection of bridal wear, although I found it more bling bling than classy. You really have to hunt hard to find something if you're not looking for OTT. I recommend Khusbhoos and World of Fashion (they're next door to each other on Ladypool road)...although be warned you will find major bling at Khusbhoos!
Happy hunting :)
Re: Wedding shopping Manchester/London
well I have been all over Birmingham and London for desi shopping and the one thing I noticed is all the clothes are mostly Indian Designs. And they are more or less the same thing....
Recently I have discovered Gul Mohors off Ilford Lane (London) They sell Pakistani outfits and are Amazing. I would Definitely recommend u try them out......
Re: Wedding shopping Manchester/London
lol@savia when I walked in to Khushboos I thought I walked into a Bollywood Musical…![]()
rude customer services with all the Birmingham shops, If u ask them to show u something the first thing they ask is “what is ur budget” in a rude manner (looking at u up an down as if to say ur just waisting their time) I just walk straight back out…
I agree, some of the places on ladypool Rd and alum rock have the worst customer service ever! Khusboos stuff is really really blingy and to be honest the kaam isnt very fine, its lots of gaudy beadwork. YOu really cant find kaam like u do in Pakistan. There is another shop down the very bottom of Alum rock rd called Rivaaj. I initially thought the display in the window was a bit guady and didnt bother going in, but i went in a couple of weeks ago and was impressed with their kaam. Its a bit pricey but the stuff was really lovely, i havent seen that sort of quality of kaam in Brum before.
