Civil society in Pakistan is the backbone of the country.
For Pakistan to prosper, we need our democracy to take root, not be interrupted every 10 years.
And we need an Army that does not kill its own people, and kill the people's leaders.
Your points are very valid. However, I believe Army often gets left holding the ball when going gets tough for Pakistan's corruption-fed politicians.
The very first thing, and I believe this will do much to alleviate the current situation Pakistan is going through financially, is to uproot corruption from top to bottom. This alone will do wonders to plug the gaping hole in revenues that often end up lining bureaucrats' pockets. Once the corruption is reduced to near transparency level, investment will increase. All this will set off a positive domino effect that will put Pakistan on a firmer economical footing.
For argument sake, lets suppose Army is the big bad guy in the room. But you must also admit, Army needs an excuse to intervene. When Govt. operates smoothly, people are content, the Army will get neither the excuse nor the public support it needs to intervene in politics. It can focus its' energies in what It's truly entrusted with, which is defense of the nation.
Reduce corruption, increase accountability of all, and Pakistan will prosper. inshaAllah.

That is exactly what we have doing, first it was bhutto, then it was/is shariffs and now it is Imran.. the nation of idol worshipers get new god in every decade... and i feel sorry for those are being fooled again whilst they are thinking they the revolutionary guards of the new god

PPP has brought the country down to its knees. I read yesterday that present economic hardship people are facing is due to huge loans PPP government has taken during last five years after Musharraf. I remember seeing a graph on enormous rise in government loans. Can’t find it now.
Here is a chart for Pakistan’s debt. Look at how PPP is ruining the country. And yet they talk about ‘sacrifice’.
Pakistan’s debt is almost doubled from what it was during the much-hated Musharraf’s time.
PPP’s “sacrifices” are the cause of destruction of Pakistan. In previous post we saw the rise in Pakistan’s debt during PPP government.
Now here is State Bank saying that this debt is the cause of enormous inflation in the country.
If anything, PPP has taken away “roti, kaprra aur makaan” from common people, instead of giving them.
Your post would have more value if you did not support the party that has destroyed the region it operates in, the MQM.
MQM takes away peoples lives.
You can't criticise a party for doing something, when the party you support does the same, and even worse activities.
That's the best PPP supporters can do. Kill the messenger instead of listening to the message.
I support some of MQM policies and some I don't. Just like I support some of PPP, ANP, PTI polices, and some don't.

I understand it hurts. And it hurts everyone else who realises what Zardari has done to this country. I wish jiyalas were as emotional about their country as about Bhutto.
