That is 100% true but the army is not only at fault. We also need civlian leaders who practise democracy from within their parties to outside at the national level. Leadership should not be based on bloodlines.
Our civilian leaders must also take their roles and responsibilities seriously. They should be there to guide and develop the country. They should be their for the best interests of the country.
We need a balanced approach and to practise fairness. Our military has a lot of faults but they are not any worse than our civilian leaders. To be honest neither of of them are sincere to Pakistan but just to their bank accounts.

Peoples Party has virtually and effectively made it a Bhutto verses Pakistan situation wherein jiyalas appear to be more loyal to Bhutto than Pakistan. A case study is Yousaf Raza Gilani who is going to sacrify himself for someone who became party chief purely by an accident. Pakistan can prosper and inshaAllah will prosper whether jiyalaism persists or perishes

That's why we need democracy, uninterrupted, and not manipulated by the ISI. The people can choose what they want, and good governance and progress will come to Pakistan,

Agreed with the OP, uninterrupted democracy and strong judiciary is needed if we want to take this country forward. After a couple of elections, the people will be able to elect better people. As for the time being when the governments are ended prematurely the political parties become shaheeds and fool the people in the next elections, once their shahadats are stopped they will start getting more and more exposed.

there is something fundamentally wrong with the system...........if it was a good system.....people would've elected better people.........which hasn't proved to be the case till now...

For God sake continue this cleaning process through democracy. A number of good people with different political parties are still hiding behind the scene. Ultimately the will come up to the top. So let democracy strenthen its foundation without the hinderance of outside forces which are absolutely evil and caused great destruction to Pakistan.

The army is strong because our political leaders are corrupt/incompetent and do not abide the law. The only way to restrict army excesses is that we elect political leader without a credibility issue. The present lot of political leaders except IK have serious credibility issues and are not in a position to make army leadership stay within their prescribed limits.

In Pakistan every one has right to come in politics and have a political party, doesn't matter if he is bhutto or sharif or laghari or mazari or former exotic dancer or play boy....
What is needed here is that the agencies should limit themselves in securing contries border and killing internal and external threats and not consuming their resources in order to promote certain polititcal clan or party...
