During my gypsy/consultancy days , I would rent apartment close to work , so that I could go home for lunch , and take a power nap.
Man that was good. As I used to work 4x10 basis with 3 day weekend.
I had a chance to buy home closer to work but the school district is the best where I bought home so I sacrificed that for my kids future.
I can kills someone for getting my hands on a telecommuting job. I did that for 3 years back in Chicago.

for most part, I’ve been able to work out a situation where work, masjid & home fall close to each other, so I usually go home for lunch & zuhr and if there’s nothing interesting to eat at home, I’d pray zuhr at masjid and pick something up on the way back to work … quick n easy

use the combined power of Islamicfinder & Craigslist :D it specially helped me a lot during consultancy days when things would pretty much line up even before I get to the new town.

saint devil... I have mosque around too and while I use the islamic finder for mosques and halaal food shops, this time incidently I got my place via craigslist as well.. LOL...!

Right now wea re very near to mosque and hub's office but since we are moving to a house inshallah soon so everything will be so far :( but for kids one has to do those things.
