Re: Final - India v Sri Lanka, (06 April 2014) Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur
OK....
benefit of hindsight is always a great tool...i didnt see anyone one saying why yuvi is out there when he walked out
here is what dhoni thinking...the guy yuvi just scored 60 runs on 45 odd balls against england...didnt he? and then run a ball against SA...so yes he is out of form but he is coming back to form...and he has done some magical things in past plus he plays really well againt off spin (slog on leg side)...so let me send him out otherwise it will be too late because he cannot just go start hitting from ball 1 like dhoni and raina can do later on.....now who knew yuvi will freeze so bad....it never happened before.
what yuvi ended up with was so painful ....he just froze ..now i dont know if it was just one bad day or he has lost it....my gut is telling me he is finished....at least for now. he needs to go back to ranji and spend a lot of time in the middle....i like the man, though and my heart goes out for him for what he is going through.
England Kahn se aa Gaya YUVi only scored against BangladeshBangladesh

Hindsight is 20/20. Who knows if Raina and Dhoni himself had come in ahead of Yuvi, they might have struggled as well.
India did not bowl badly, just not enough runs on the board. Believe you me 160 would have tested Lanka. 130 was never defendable. Those last 4 or 5 overs where they struggled to put bat to ball proved to be decisive in the end. Sri Lankan bowlers did their homework. Kulasekara and Malinga were brilliant at the death. They had a clear plan. Some people might call it negative cricket but Lanka bowled cleverly esp. those widish yorkers outside off stump. That is probably the way to go at the death to restrict the rate of scoring.
Commiserations to India. They just had one indifferent day with the bat
Congratulations Lanka

I an sorry, I thought she is Pakistani but supports SL.
Anyhow, thugs we have as rulers, they are not just Pakistani thugs but they are internationally renowned thugs. ;)
this is sports forum...so my bad for bringing that topic....so lets just leave it there...i just felt embarassed when i read her signature considering she is from sri lanka....i have seen americans, indians, Europeans treating/mentioning their elected reps with respect in-front other nations...i am not a nawaz fan but he is our elected PM...if we dont want to respect ourselves, why wud other respect us..anyway forget it....jis ka jo dil karta hai karay

At comments hindsight is 20/20. I don't get that. Analysis of games is always dine in hindsight.
Anyway this was nit abt hindsight. Dhoni is very conservative. Tuk Tuk. Then go for Broke.
Yuvrsj shoukd have been sent with instructions to go for it. With 8 overs and mssybe 3 balls left it is a no brainer to go for it from get go. His blocking first two balls indicated intent was not there. That's nit hindsight.

Hence post match analysis is loaded with bias i.e. it is easy to be wise AFTER the event. If Yuvi despite wasting all those deliveries had hit even 2 or 3 lusty blows we would not be having this discussion! Even the best batsmen in the world need a couple of deliveries at least to get used to the pace of the wicket. Yes he should have gone for his shots but the line Lankan bowlers were bowling, wide outside off, was not within his comfort zone and did not allow him to slog on the leg side. Even MSD struggled to connect.
This is T20, couple of overs can decide the fate of the whole game. Same teams different days, can easily produce a very different result

Today, historry was reversed. Indrajit, Kumbhakarna Vibheeshana did well in helping Ravana to victory over Rama. Some would say there really was no conflict beetween Rama and Ravana. And that both had tremenddous respect for each other.
It showed in the field today. Say kumbaya, everybody.

Stones pelted at Yuvi's home.. :( in Chandigarh...Punjab... Close to Pak Punjab...H.Q of the I.S.I ..No wonder who is behind it... :p
The police and other experts have examined the stones and they found out that the stones are from Pak Punjab(exactly Rawalpindi),and are not the types seen in India..So they have arrived at a conclusion that stones were smuggled in to Indian territory a day before the match. That means the I.S.I knew the result of the match before. So the match was fixed... :D
Sorry just kidding.. :p
It's time for Yuvi to have some training at nets.It may be good if he sits out in a couple of games next and let him focus on his form and his game so that he can come back to form and once again excite us with his blistering knocks. :)
