Fighters 'snatch Pakistan troops' (merged)

Re: Fighters 'snatch Pakistan troops' (merged)

Thats the problem isnt it... At this time when the Armies sole concern should be the defense of the nation, they are busy trying to make deals with politicans and trying to salvage their place in politics. What happend to their priorities?
This army has turned into a bussiness enterprise... And judging by the way they have performed, I think genuine bussinessmen in suits could do a better fighting the Taliban and Al Qaeda.

Re: Fighters 'snatch Pakistan troops' (merged)

The soldiers must have realized that since their superiors are busy in deal making, why not they themselves try some of it since their lives were on the line. Leadership comes from the top, especially in a military.

Re: Fighters 'snatch Pakistan troops' (merged)

I don't think 200 Soldiers of a Professional Army have ever surrendered to a bunch of rag tag militias since World War II

Re: Fighters 'snatch Pakistan troops' (merged)

Italians should be happy that they are not alone in that task.. :D

Re: Fighters 'snatch Pakistan troops' (merged)

I think these idiots stopped to eat or invited as guests.. Only to be fooled into turning themselves into hostages. Seems to be the most likely story.

Re: Fighters 'snatch Pakistan troops' (merged)

Or maybe the mehsud major willingly defected with his troops..

Re: Fighters 'snatch Pakistan troops' (merged)

Most likely scenario, coz lot of soldiers are from frontier region

Re: Fighters 'snatch Pakistan troops' (merged)

but whatever the case, these soldiers are a disgrace to Pakistan

how can 200 soldiers just surrender?

20, understandable

but 200, man this just sucks :(

Re: Fighters 'snatch Pakistan troops' (merged)

This thread has the word "snatch" in its title. teehee

:D

Re: Fighters 'snatch Pakistan troops' (merged)

There will almost certainly be an investigation or possibly court martial of any of those soldiers who survive this; especially so of their officers. This represents the Army's biggest humiliation since 1971.

News reports suggest that the soldiers were paramilitaries, meaning locally raised and based forces. I'm sure there will be an investigation to establish if the men were unwilling to fight local rebels and appropriate punishment if so.

Re: Fighters 'snatch Pakistan troops' (merged)

wat u ve to say about 95000 soldiers of professional Pak Army surrendering to rag tag Mukti bahani in Dec 1971

Re: Fighters ‘snatch Pakistan troops’ (merged)

There were not! :stuck_out_tongue:

And no, I am not pulling a Moin on you.. :clown:

Re: Fighters 'snatch Pakistan troops' (merged)

Exactly!

Re: Fighters 'snatch Pakistan troops' (merged)

280 including a colonel. I am embaressed:

1) firstly my country is the HQ for Al-Qaeda, biggest university of terror.
2) Can not protect it's own citizens.
3) Army the protector of country and people happily swap guns with a few kids in exchange for nothing.
4) the powers that be dont have the word 'resignation' in dictionary.

Re: Fighters 'snatch Pakistan troops' (merged)

they surrendered to India and not to Bengali rebels

Re: Fighters 'snatch Pakistan troops' (merged)

I don't know what's worse. Troops' inability to protect themselves or unwillingness to fight the rebels.

any which way...what a disgrace. they should change their uniform to pink skirts

Re: Fighters 'snatch Pakistan troops' (merged)

That incidence is just unbelievable. Funny thing is that no one from military has explained how the hell did it happen?!

Re: Fighters 'snatch Pakistan troops' (merged)

say what ?? you expect an explanation, the true version of the story ... from military top brass about this disgraceful act of surrender

to this day, the only official explanation from army about the loss of Siachin territory has been that "not a single blade of grass grows there" [so thats why we gave it away!!]

until late Waheed Arshad was trying to hoodwink us by saying that troops had taken shelter somewhere due to weather conditions etc ... expect some concocted BS like .... troops laid down weapons to avoid unncessary bloodshed or something like that.

Re: Fighters ‘snatch Pakistan troops’ (merged)

200 Soldiers surrendering to a bunch of rag tag militias?

Is this what 60% of Government Spending gets us? :mad2:

Re: Fighters ‘snatch Pakistan troops’ (merged)
