LOL nobody needs to be friends with snakes and mice. That’s just wrong.
I would go to a pet store (like Pet Smart or something). And you can get time to spend with a animal of your choice. I do that for fun sometimes and hang out with littlewittle puppies

I know its hard to start with but just try start interacting with them slowly.. like accept their presence around you , stroke them, feed them and after a while they wont bother you that much.... I too am scared of birds... well not really scared- scared but i am not comfortable when birds are around but living in London you cant get rid of them and i just try to accept the fact that they are there and its normal! More you think about them they will scare you... just chill and will try overcome your fear :).. good luck!
